3. Will the cachet of the iPod and the capabilities of Boot Camp and the Leopard version of Apple’s OS X continue to lure more first-time computer buyers and Windows PC users to the Mac lineup of desktops and portables? Why or Why not?

Yes! Because of the following reasons (take advantages of Boot Camp on the Mac sale): - Ipod Halo Effect: the term used to describe the phenomenon where iPod consumers—many of whom were buying their very first Apple-built product—became so taken with the music player that they started spending their hard-earned cash on other Apple offerings. It appears that the major factor driving PC iPod owners to the Mac has been positive experiences with the iPod

Since the arrival of the Ipod, Apple’s share of the desktop and portable computer market in the United States has almost doubled, reaching just under 6 percent in early 2006

* Boot Camp is software included with OS X Lion and Mountain Lion so users can run compatible versions of Microsoft Windows on an Intel-based Mac. The newest version is Boot Camp 4.0, OS X Lion and Mountain Lion which you can use Microsoft Windows 7 with.

* With the support of Boot Camp, customers can use the full features of both operating system in the Apple’s desktops and portables; * It is a FREE software;
* It fill current need for tech-savvy Apple customers who want or need to run Windows and are prepared to hack OS X if necessary; * Because of Boot Camp, the utility of the Apple hardware will increase – it can be used for every personal computing need. In fact, this will complement Apple’s primary commercial strength – their hardware. Apple has always been a hardware company, not an operating system company, and Boot Camp strengthens Apple’s core strategy – selling more computers;
