The American Dream has been alive for multiple generations. It is essentially the idea that suggests to anyone in the United States can succeed through hard work and has the potential to lead a happy, successful life….you may have heard it phrased as “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The “American Dream” is the unwritten constitution for our country. Many foreigners die to have the freedom we have. That’s why America is a melting pot. People from all over the globe come to America to be able to make a decent wage and make a better life for themselves, thus the “American Dream”. Id say the American dream is alive today but the pursuit for it now a days seems impossible. An example of it being alive is the immigrants coming over from Mexico. To many of the lower class, drug dealing appears to be the simplest way to make money. Not saying that that’s okay or even in the slightest way suggested…there are many other ways to achieve the American dream. You could just be a blue-collar worker with a decent living condition and a good family. It’s changed from past American dreams where it was a more modest goal. Now it’s all about the big bucks, and Americans would agree because without money, nothing happens. People want to reach the “American Dream” because they want to better themselves and have a life they want to live. For most people they just look at it as the end that justifies any means necessary....
