Technology has taken away the personal interactions that society could get without it. It has affected the world in many negative ways. Technology causes cancer and isn’t good for the brain, causes accidents, and occupies society’s lives. The world would be a much better place without its negative influence.
Cancer can be easily formed by the use of technology. The radiation off of electronics such as televisions, cell phones, and computers can cause it. Statistics state that the rate of brain cancer produced by technology has soared since 2000. Using technology is like volunteering to get diagnosed with it. Playing video games for hours every single day can even increase the risk of getting cancer. Technology does do a lot of helpful things for the world but it also kills lives.
Texting while driving kills thousands of lives every year. 3 in 5 drivers will operate a cell phone while driving. Cell phones are the top most dangerous type of technology over any other type. Plenty of drivers are always on one and 5 times out of 10 the driver will get into a car accident. Society is so attached to cell phones that they can’t drive a couple miles down the road without having to check it. The driver’s focus is more on the cellphone than on the road and that is exactly how accidents happen.
Society’s lives are so dependent on technology. Most don’t know how to do any type of math without a calculator and most don’t even know how to do something without going on Google to figure it out. Without technology, society would be so ignorant and completely stuck. Today, there are even children with cell phones and using them at the dinner table. Cell phones and computers advance more and more all the time and does nothing but make society lazier. Personal interactions are almost nonexistent because of technology.
