Alarm Systems
Alarm Systems The point of having a monitored security system is that if a break-in occurs, the right authorities can be notified and dispatched. Your business or home is protected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This gives peace of mind knowing that your home or business is protected. You also have the use of the three panic buttons police, fire and medical. And further, having a monitored alarm system can save you up to 20% off your home insurance. Alarm systems are warning devices used to secure your home, car or business. They monitor for floods, carbon monoxide, fire and security. Many people ask others or go to certain places and ask if it is easy to use. A security system is very easy to use; the installer will provide basic training on the system after installation. Usually a security system comes with a complete manual that will provide further information about the security system. Also, some people ask if the system is wired or wireless. You can get both hardwired and wireless equipment. It all depends on the location you are at. In a residential setting where the basement is finished and where there is no access to the ceiling, then it is possible to install a wireless system. If there is access to the basement ceiling then you need to install the hardwired system. Every home is different, and security consultants are trained to be able to present you the most suitable system and design for your location and your needs. A security system can be designed in many ways to suit your way of life. You can pick from various levels of protection. For instance when you are not home you can have all the motion sensors and contacts activated. And if you are at home you can choose which zones are activated. Some peripherals such as smoke detectors must always be active, whether the system is armed or disarmed. Your security consultant can usually help you design a system that would best fit your needs and everyday life. Most alarm systems come with really cool

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is structured to protect the United States and its territories against foreign and domestic terrorist. From the time the DHS has come into being it has implemented the US-immigrant and visitor status program. These two programs are capable of identifying and verifying all foreign travelers who have entered and exited the United States through airports and seaports. The major downfall of this program is it has a delay in its schedule, which in return causes issues with the Secure Border Initiative. By the time, they have identified an individual and notified the proper agency the potential suspect may have already left the country.…

Nadine Strossen is the authors of “Everyone is watching you” an article that its main purpose is to alert readers how our privacy rights are been violated by surveillance cameras. The article in general informs the reader of the topic right from the beginning with the title which explains a lot of the matter to discuss. The author introduces the topic very clear with the example of Eric Blair the author of “Big Brother is watching you” and how this caption relates to the matter. I have two reasons to believe that this article will not captive’s people’s attention. First, it does not give a lot of examples on the matter base on what the majority of the citizens live style is. Second yes, the article puts the problem out there but it gives no clear solution on how to fix it.…

One of the most vital aspects of fire protection is to recognize a budding fire emergency as soon as possible, and to notify the facility's tenants and proper emergency groups. This is the primary function of all fire detection and alarm systems. Depending on the expected fire situation, structures and type, quantity and occupants (health care, business, residential, industrial, and day care), and criticality of contents and mission, these systems can offer multiple key functions to aid in the safety of the occupants (Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Construction & Facilities Management) , 2011). Their first two functions are the most vital. The first being a way to identify a fire hazard as it transpires through either manual or automatic methods. Secondly, it alerts the structures occupants to an imminent fire hazard and the need to withdraw from the building. Another common function in a non single family structure is to send an emergency alarm notification to the local emergency response organizations. Some systems are even designed to sensitive systems to…

    The Security Plan

The floor plan of my targeted environment is a bank. It is a pretty basic setup. There are two security cameras and a security guard on duty. I think that the placement of the cameras is a good benefit to the security plan. They are facing the front door so they record everybody that comes through those doors. Knowing that a security guard is on duty should be enough of a deterrent, but for people who have intentions of robbing a bank, I guess that just does not matter. The tellers can also play a role if a robbery or something did take place. They have buttons by their money drawers that they can press to alert the police if need be. In a matter of minutes the police should arrive and have everything under control hopefully. I think that all banks that are being built now are being done so with security as the number one objective. Keeping the people and their money safe is a good formula to follow.…
