Al Gore, Master Student Al Gore believes that Global Warming is actually happening to Planet Earth. The major cities in North and South America, Asia, and Australia are running out of water due to the fact that we are using all of the water from the underground streams because of the huge droughts and the glaciers that are melting. Farmers are struggling because of the droughts so the crops will not produce as good of yields. Global Warming is causing people to have to move from their homes on the coast because of the rising water levels. Countries have had to call national emergencies because of unexpected wildfires. The storms in the Pacific and Atlantic are getting stronger so that is the cause of whole cities being in danger closer inland because the storms can travel farther inland. Al Gore’s goal is to get all of the countries on Planet Earth to pass laws to help with conservation so the effects of Global Warming slow down. Al Gore is a master student because no matter what happens he never gives up, and he just keeps pushing for the bills and laws to be passed in other countries not just in the United States. He shows a passion for his work everyday. Al Gore is willing to go to different countries knowing that he might fail at trying to get them to change but pushes for the new laws to be passed anyway. He truly wants this world to be a better place. If he could get every country to go on the Global Warming bill the acceleration rate of Global Warming would be cut down just because of one person pushing for other countries to change their ways. I have learned from reading about Al Gore’s passion of stopping Global Warming that no matter how hard you try if you fail you need to get back up and try again. Even though most countries are not going to change their emissions laws he never gives up on trying to change their ways on emissions and green house gasses. I have similar qualities of Al Gore because when I get started on something and I have that dream in my head of how something is going to turn out, I do not quit until I get it perfect. Eventually, I will figure out what I have to change in my ways so that I can get everything done in an orderly fashion. Once I figure out what needs to be done I do not quit until there is someone to fill my spot or until I get everything done and up to my standards.

Daniel Botkin and Al Gore have very different views on the issues of global warming. Botkin contends that the scare tactics used by Gore and many similar thinking environmentalists are simply a desperate means intended to alarm the public and force governments to take actions that are unnecessary and misdirected.
