EXCUTIVE SUMMARY
CHAPTER 1

Airtel Telemedia has become the leading player in the wireless space in India on a matter of 7 years. In keeping with the vision of becoming the leading telecom player in the country in all areas if telecom, the broadband services were launched in the metro cities in all across the country in the 2nd quarter if 2004.

Airtel uses the latest Fibre To The Building approach that is unique amongst all operators in the country .Backed by a competitive suite of products and the highest standards of customers support, the Airtel value proposition has made impressive progress in the wireline/broadband business in its areas of operation. Since this is a creeping business requiring a lot of planning in order to maximize ROI ,it is imperative that the roll out of the company takes into account all extraneous and internal parameters in line with the company objectives.

With the above background the following project was offered to management trainees for the period of 2 months.
