Athlete Paper

“Have fun”, that phrase has been reiterated to children all around the world when they start playing sports. The problem starts when children grow up and stop enjoying them. The world eventually becomes saturated with spectators and athletes that take games far too seriously. Unfortunately for Andres Escobar, an individual forget humans make mistakes and took his life out of anger.
Andre Escobar Saldarriaga was born in Medellin, Colombia on March 13, 1967. He grew up in a middle class neighborhood. His father Dario Escobar was a banker and founded an organization that gives people the opportunity to play soccer instead of living in the streets. Andres attended Colegio Calasanz and graduated from Instituto Conrado Gonzalez; he played soccer in both schools and eventually became a professional soccer player (Wikipedia).
He began his professional career in 1985 when he was given the chance to play for his favorite team, Atletico Nacional. At the age of 20 Andres was given the opportunity to play with the Atletico Nacional first team. He played as a sweeper and central defender. Andres was an incredible athlete and showed great potential (The Tragedy). He was often regarded as one the best Colombian defenders of all time.   It took very little time for people to notice just how good of a player he was. He was called up to the national time by head coach Francisco Maturana after having played only one season as a professional player. In very little time he became regarded as one of the best players on the national team and also managed to become the co-captain (The Tragedy).
He was known by several such as “El Caballero del Futbol” (The Gentlemen of Football) and “The Immortal Number 2”( Wikipedia). He was given his first nickname because he was one of the very few players to come from a wealthy family (The Tragedy).   In 1989 he helped Nacional win the Copa Libertadores.   This was the first time that a Colombian club had ever accomplished this....
