SOCIALIZATION THROUGHOUT LIFE
The agents of socialization during my adolescence have provided situations and experiences that have shaped my personality and socialization. I have many situations that have influenced me in adolescence positively and negatively. My whole life I have been afraid of heights. If there were any need for me to go somewhere that is a high place, I would not go. If I ever went to six flags with my family, I wouldn’t get on any roller coaster. When my family and I went to St. Louis I would not get on the Arc with them. The reason for that is because, one day when I was 6 or 7, I was walking up the stairs, in an apartment, I was very sleepy and I fell down the stairs and had to go to the hospital. My parents have always been there for me, through the good times and bad times. They would always tell me what to do and what not to do, and if there were something they told me not to do, they would do it in front of me. They would always tell me not to curse, and everyday they would curse at my brothers, on the phone, to their friends, or at one another or me. The same thing goes with not being rude or disrespectful to other people. My mother would always tell me not to drink but she always drink in front of me. My father would always tell me to listen to what my mother says, because she is always right. Even though my parents sometimes, told me one thing and did the opposite, I have always listened to them. They made me the type of person I am today.
My friends and school are a big part of my life. The people I hang around are a lot like me. The way we dress, the way we talk to each other or other people, and also how we don’t care about any boy. If one of us goes somewhere, then we all go. If one doesn’t want to go somewhere, then no one goes.
