Good Morning honorable Judges and Dear Friends, I, Vikrant Singh Lochav, would be speaking for the motion on the topic ‘There Should be an Age limit for consensual sex?’
As rightly said “Sex is more than an act of pleasure, it’s the ability to feel so close to a person, so connected, so comfortable that its almost breathtaking to the point you feel you can’t take it and at this moment you’re a part of them.”
I agree to the fact that sex has many medical advantages as reducing stress, boosting immunity, improves intimacy and reducing pain but still looking at the medical viewpoint the doctors say age of consent should be 17.
The dynamic society we live in, every act of humans is codified in the form of LAWS so to organize the society and to protect the society from being disorganized a minimum age of consent has already been decided by the medical as well as social councils.
Having sex at younger age than 17 can lead to many problems in life, generally for the female counterpart. The worst points of early sex could be emotional stress, teen pregnancy, and sexual diseases. If there is no age for consensual sex then we are no better than animals.
To all who had their 1st sexual experience before the consensual age, I would like to ask you to put ourselves back to the past and think if that was a right decision we made? [continues]
