Advocacy Letter

dear: Mauril Belanger,
I’m contacting you about an issue that is of deep concern to the resident's and myself. The Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts in the Vanier area. Their in the need of a proper play ground for the children to play. The play area for the children is all pavement and fencing, they also have no where for the kinder gardeners to play, the structure is old and rusted and its all fenced in. There also ain't no ramp for any child with a weel chair, there is also a shed in the back with a lawn mower which is unsafe for the children to play around. They also don't have a lot of parking for parent's to pick up their children. Making a bigger parking lot for the parents to pick up their children. The street issue is that the road of Baribeau St. need speed bumps because of the traffic around corners and speeding down the streets, while their are children in the area. There are so many issues with the Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts that would benefit the public, the children and their families. Their mission is to offer academic excellence in an Islamic atmosphere and a quality learning environment to build and develop an integrated Islamic identity. The school - who consists of students, teachers and parents - will promote spiritual and moral values consistent with respect and good citizenship within the Canadian society. The school has 3 acres of property, which includes a tennis court, and fenced in preschool playground. But there is no playground for the older children but a tennis court, some children would love a playground to climb on instead of playing on pavement with balls. Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts has a fully equipped science lab, brand new computer lab, gymnasium, library, and prayer room. They recently had a fire in the computer room. They might need some funding for repairs. Donations are always welcome, We are currently accepting contributions to the upcoming

Given the primarily Hispanic community here in El Paso, domestic violence is more prevalent and getting out of these abusive relationships is often more difficult because of the cultural values. I would like to urge you to consider the children that are caught in between. Currently there is only “In the best Interest of the child” clause, but even then, women of domestic violence are placed in a dangerous situation of sharing custody with their abuser. While I am not advocating for totally cutting a father out of the picture, I do believe preventive measures need to be put in place to ensure that these kids do not suffer more than they already have.…

Advocacy is important at all level of nursing. Advocacy is fundamental for the nursing profession's political power. With political power we can change policies, laws, and regulations and shape both the nursing practice and the work environment. As APRN we should advocate about issues that most affect our practice, our community, the public health, and the social justice. This involves knowing the laws and regulations that govern our practice acts and knowing the process of creating health policy.…

Bilingualism and being culturally diverse is an important part of education and society as well. Being an EC-6 Generalist with an ESL certification, I fully support the implementation of some sort of bilingual or ESL education in every school. America has overcome the racial segregation of the past and has accepted that we are a ‘melting pot’ of diverse cultures and that we’re all contributing members of society. However, within the education system, parents and some teachers forget that by ruling out bilingual/ESL programs and replacing it with English only programs; they are creating segregation amongst the immigrant students. In this advocacy plan, I will state my plan of action through gradual stages of inquiry,…

Let me formally introduce myself, I’m Lyn Le. I’m writing this letter because I want to believe we have move ahead from racial injustice, but we have not. The first reason I believe this because of our schools where students of color confined to isolated and low quality programs, to our criminal justice system that disproportionately targets and incarcerate people of color and criminalize poverty, to the starkly segregated world of housing, the dream of full equality remains an indefinable one. I also believe that those two current issues today, police brutality and racial discrimination would definitely be something you'd fight for today! I believe this because the American racism saga continues, there “no gainsaying of the fact that racial…

In addition to the persuasive letter who persuade the reader to take action and the good-news letter who leaves a pleasant thought, the bad-news letter provides a negative or unpleasant information to the reader. The major goal of this type of letter is to help the reader understand and accept the message. Also, maintaining a positive relationship with the reader could help the writer to promote a good image of the company. Although, the message sent is different in all these types of letters I found that they have both similarities and differences in terms of tone, approach, and organization.…

The nurse and nursing student should always advocate for their patients. My Patient daughter told me that her father was having pain around his inguinal area. I asked the patient to evaluate his pain on a scale of 0 to 10. The patient reported a pain level of 7 on a scale of 0 to 10. I immediately notified to the nurse, and she came in with his PRN pain medication and asked him to evaluate his pain and he said 7 on a scale of 0 to 10. Based on his pain scale the nurse gave him his pain medication. In this situation, I tried to be the patient’s advocate and make sure that patient was problem solved.…

Lisa Wilken’s case is a great example of how commanders handle the sexual assault cases unfairly. Wilken, an Indianapolis veteran of the Air Force, was raped twice by one of her fellow airmen. When she reported the assault, the commander made her feel like she was the attacker and that it was all her fault. Her commander interrogated her about her sexual history and drinking. During the so- called investigation, the prosecutors did not even perform the proper investigation tasks such as taking photographs or gathering evidence of the scene. She had to stop her training while her attacker continued his. The prosecutors’ told her that her rape wasn’t “violent enough” to warrant any serious conviction. As a result, her attacker literally walked away free. He was allowed to…
