ICT use in general terms is any use of “computing devices such as desktop computers, laptops, software, or Internet for instructional purposes” (Hew & Brush, 2007, p. 225). ICT is the modern technology that be useful for student as a learning tool. Moreover, teachers also use ICT for instructional preparation and instructional delivery. So, ICT is the use of technology for students and teacher in education(Inan & Lowther, 2010). Besides, the important factor that can shape the effective application of ICT for educational is the teachers’ attitudes(Albirini, 2006; Hermans et al., 2008). ICT, the computer for example is a great help in the constructivist approach, where one can design simulated and individualized learning environments to students. So, there are several advantages of using ICT as a tool for teaching and learning process in higher education institution. The advantages are improve the efficiency in educational process, improve in the quality of work and attract student’s interest in learning.
Firstly, ICT can improve efficiency in educational process. In recent years however, there has been a growing interest to know how computers and internet can best utilized to improve effectiveness and efficiency of education at all levels and in both formal and nonformal settings. Jones and Knezek state that ICT is defined as the enhance in the educational process(Jones and Knezek 1993). Furthermore, the use of ICT in the education can also help to upgrade memory retention, increase motivation and enhance deepens understanding(Dede 1998). ICT is the great potential in develop the student’s knowledge in education. According to Tinio , ICT can be the potential in increasing access and improving relevance .
