Adolf Hitler
After World War 1, Germany was in a horrible state. They had to pay reparations to other countries thanks to the Treaty of Versailles. This was difficult since Germany was going through one of its worst stagflation epidemics in history. A new government was also ushered, which had nothing to do with the treaty. Germany was in a state of perplexity because of all the punishments they had received. Germany was searching for someone who could bring them out of this seemingly insurmountable situation. They found that leader through the charismatic dictator, Adolf Hitler.

Hitler’s childhood was not a very good one. His father was very abusive and died when Hitler was a boy. His brother died of the measles when Hitler was young. His mother however was very loving and Hitler grew much attached to her.

Hitler dropped out of high school and was urged to get a job and work, but to young Hitler, the idea of daily work with its necessary submission to authority was revolting. He eventually fell in love with art. He decided to apply for the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. When he took the entrance exam, he thought he was in for sure. He was refused and recommended to study the field of architecture. Hitler was not pleased and gave his case on why he should be admitted. He failed and without a high school diploma, he could not manage to get anywhere in the architectural field. This was Hitler’s dream for years. He left his mother who was dying from breast cancer to apply for this school. Hitler could not stand anyone with opposite views from him. He was stubborn and could not take rejection. This refusal into the academy was a blow to the mouth for him. He spent his next years homeless in Vienna.

Some years after his mother died of cancer, he began to get into politics. He loved Luegar, who was at that time the mayor of Vienna. Lueger was a Nazi, with strong anti-Semitic views, which...
