ADI Installation

Installing Application Desktop Integrator (ADI) requires the following three steps: 1. Install ADI
2. Run Diagnostic Wizard
3. Copy tnsnames and two other files to specific directories

Install ADI

1. Before beginning, you should close out of all applications, as this installation will require rebooting your machine. 2. Locate the file p5580549_72_MSWIN.exe and copy the file to c:\temp. 3. Locate the file p5753203_72_MSWIN.exe and copy the file to c:\temp. 4. Locate the file p3966101_72_MSWIN.exe and copy the file to c:\temp. Double click on the file. 5. Winzip Self-Extractor will open. Choose the Unzip button.

Choose ‘Ok’ when WinZip announces it is finished. Close WinZip.

6. Go to c:\temp and run Setupadi by double clicking on the file.

The following window will appear:

7. Click once on the bottom option ‘Oracle Application Desktop Integrator for Excel 2000/XP/2003. Choose ‘Yes’ when the window asks if you’d like to install ADI.

8. Type Extendicare in the Company Name field and choose ‘OK’. [pic]

9. The Software Asset Manager form will open. Using your mouse while holding down your keyboard’s Ctrl button, choose the four items to be installed. When you choose certain items that are prefaced by a minus sign, the item will collapse and suddenly be preface by a + sign, which is appropriate. Choose Install button.

10. Installer will give you some general information. Choose ‘OK’.

11. Installer will ask you to choose a language. Choose English (United States). Choose ‘OK’.

12. Installer asks which optional components you would like to install. Using your mouse, click on each of the items and choose the ‘OK’ button.

13. Installer gives you some information. Choose the ‘OK’ button.

14. The Welcome screen will open. Choose Next.

15. Installer will ask where the files should be installed. Accept the default by choosing Next.

16. Installer verifies your choices. Choose Next.

17. After the files are copied, the Setup Complete window will open. Choose Finish.

18. Installer will then start processing files and will open two different folders. Wait patiently. When Installer is finished, it will return to the Software Asset Manager form. Do not exit from this program.

19. Go to c:\temp and locate the file p5580549_72_MSWIN.exe. Double click on the file. Choose Run. [pic]

20. Winzip Self-Extractor will open. Change folder to c:\temp\patch1. Choose the Unzip button.

Choose ‘Ok’ when WinZip announces it is finished. Close WinZip.

21. Go to c:\temp and locate the file p5580549_72_MSWIN.exe. Double click on the file. Choose Run. [pic]

22. Winzip Self-Extractor will open. Modify the Unzip To Folder to be c:\temp\patch2. Choose the Unzip button.

Choose ‘Ok’ when WinZip announces it is finished. Close WinZip.

23. Return to Oracle Installer. Click on the From button in the upper left corner. Look in the directory c:\temp\patch1 to find the NT.PRD file and choose Open.

24. Choose the item displayed in the left window to be installed. When you choose certain items that are prefaced by a minus sign, the item will collapse and suddenly be preface by a + sign, which is appropriate. Choose Install button.

25. When Installer is finished, it will return to the Software Asset Manager form. Choose Exit. 26. Installer will request confirmation that you wish to exit. Choose Yes.

27. Installer might request that you reboot your machine. Choose ‘OK’ and reboot your machine.

ADI is now installed on your machine.

28. The second patch for the Request Center should now be applied. Look in the c:\temp\patch2...
