Parents interview, consultation or home visitation 4. Conduct parent’s orientation/ forum 5. Conduct school feeding program 6. Supervision of health personnel

The Problem and Its Background
Introduction:
In the Regional Achievement Test administered to Grade IV pupils last year, it has been found out that the Grade IV pupils of San Luis Central got low performance in Science. So as teachers, we agreed to make researches in able to help improve and learn more about Science.
Statements of the Problem The researcher aims to look into the causes of low performance in Science of the Grade IV pupils of Paniqui Central for the school year 2009-2010. The research attempted to bring forth answers to the following questions;
1. Does absenteeism really affect pupil’s low performance in Science?
2. Does the malnutrition really affect low performance in Science?
3. Does the financial problem really affect low performance in Science?
4. Does lack of parent’s knowledge affect low performance in Science?

In view of the above mentioned problems the following hypotheses were drawn;
