Executive summary
This is a report to show the companies evolved and how their decisions affected their products and their ability to grow their businesses and how the accounting process and statistics helped them make their wise decisions. This report is going to show tables which involve the company’s balance sheet and income statements from the years of 2007 to 2010. Here is some background information about the companies we researched to analyze their every step. I would like to state first the brand Coca Cola, which is the most popular non alcoholic beverage drink. We picked this Company because it’s one of the best out there. Coca Cola was first invented by John Stith Pemberton, in 1886. The Coca Cola first started production in Atlanta, Georgia. Coca Cola sells its products in more than 200 countries and employs up to 140000 workers. The company was first founded in 1892 and created revenue of 35.119 billion US dollars on the year 2010. Secondly we like to state Pepsi Company, we chose this company because it is also one of the most popular beverage drinks in the world and also the most competitive rival on Coca Cola so we would like to see what techniques Pepsi used to tackle Coca Cola Company to out run them. Pepsi, also a non alcoholic beverage drink was invented by Caleb Bardham in 1883. Pepsi first started in North Carolina, USA. Pepsi was first introduced as “Brads Drink” and after renamed to Pepsi-Cola in 1903. It was then renamed again in 1961 to Pepsi. It was founded in 1903 and began its journey to be one of the most successful soft drink companies. We third looked at Dr Pepper, which is a soft drink retailer, we chose this company because although it was founded a long time ago, we recently heard of this brand name. Dr Pepper was invented in 1880 by Charles Alderton. The company first started its production in Texas, USA. It was first introduced in USA in 1904 which game a variety of drinks of over 20 flavors. It was one of the many companies that tried to take on the big companies like Pepsi and Coca Cola, so we wanted to see just how far this company can proceed. We will also state our recommendation based on our research to find out which of the companies is the best to invest in, and also to find out which company is the best on the return of obligation based on the three company’s financial statements.

Research methods:
The research methods used to conduct this financial statement analysis were a variety of web pages and books. Many sources were found, and compared and checked for authenticity to ensure we portray the clearest image of the financial records of the three companies and present how successful each one is. First of all, we gathered annual financial information such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Once we gathered statements for the last four years of each company, we compared the findings to get a slight idea of the figures. After we had the figures down and ready we then consulted books such as “Principals of Accounting” to help get accurate ratio equations, such as Liquidity, Solvency and Profitability ratios. Once those...
