I read two articles that I found to be very interesting.   The name of these articles is Academic Dishonesty Zero Tolerance and Honesty and Heroes: a positive psychology view of Heroism and Academic Honesty. These are articles I feel that all students need to read before they start a new class.   These articles are similar.   Both articles were research articles. Both articles also stated that cheating is the most common among college students.   Researchers from both articles feel like school provides pressure that leads to cheating.   I do not understand why college students cheat.   I thought that cheating was common among high school students.   I know when I was in high school some students cheated in some way. I used to plagiarize my papers.   I never paraphrased.   I started paraphrasing when I became a senior in high school.   I did not know that I was cheating.   Ms. Wheeler my twelfth grade English teacher point out my error.   She also helped me find a solution to my problem. The articles stated the negative behaviors of students that cheat.   There are differences between the two articles.   The article on academic dishonesty researched ways to prevention and solution to cheating.   The article on honesty and hero’s focused on the misconduct and behaviors caused by cheating.   The article also stated different negative behaviors that drive students to cheat.   Researchers argue that schools give students the opportunity to cheat.   They stated that the punishment is not severe enough for students. This is one of the reasons why so many students continue to cheat.   The article on   Honesty and Heroes position on academic honesty is that cheating is misconduct.   This misconduct is a result of some type of negative behavior within the student causing them to cheat.   Most cheating comes from the pressure of schoolwork.   The article on academic dishonesty zero tolerance focused on the prevention of cheating.   The...
