Abuse

Victims of abuse can move on and live a normal life with community resources and support. Abuse can be sexual, physical, or verbal. Abuse is intimidation or manipulation of another person in order to control them (Smith 23). All forms of abuse is serious because they all can destroy a person’s life. People that are victims of abuse can’t enjoy life because they are constantly living in fear. Victims of abuse are traumatized after years of neglect and pain. Bullying is also a form of abusive behavior. Bullying someone through threats or humiliation is just as bad as beating someone up. Someone that bullies others usually have been abused themselves. Being abused is no excuse for abusing others, if you are a victim of abuse you should get help instead of taking the anger out on someone else. Abuse is usually a long term pattern that esculates over time. It only gets worse with time. The best thing for the victim to do is leave because the abuser will not stop until the individual gets professional help. It takes a lot of help and support for a victim to leave. abuser. The victim is afraid of what will happen to them if the abuser finds out he or she contacted help. Sometimes the victim is afraid of what will happen to the abuser. Either way is never ok, the victim should get help before itsto late.
Most people think abuse happens because of stress, jealousy or anger. Actually its all about wanting to have power and control (Smith 15). Batters abuse because they choose to do so. Everyone is stressed out or angry about something but, but not everyone uses physical force to express their stress or anger.   Abusers feel this need to control because of low self or jealousy.
