Is Television News Media focusing on the Solution or the problem in America?
When is the last time you turned on a TV? Myguess is within the last 24 hours. The reason for this is because the mass media especially the television is everywhere. You can find any information in the world through Television mass media. However, the American mass media,more importantly the news needs to focus more on the solution rather than the problem. This causes people to jump to false conclusions. If the American mass media focused more on the solution our society would not be as lost and hopeless.
Many years ago television was rarely watched because people were working so hard they didn’t have time to spend time in front of the television as much as today. Now, you will find televisions in almost every household as well as occupation. However, the television is not the greatest form of mass media. More importantly the American news is not focusing on the solution only the problem. For example many times when you hear a story on the War in Iraq the reporters are talking how many Americans are getting captured or how so many Americans are dying for this war. However, they should focus on how to prevent this from happening and getting our soldiers home as soon as possible. George W. Bush even stated in one of his speeches that A World War III may be possible because of this war on terrorism. Why would Americans want to hear this? Also, the American media may focus on global warning. However, they are not talking about what people can do to prevent this from happening. Instead they are talking about how this is occurring and will soon take over the Earth! They even made a movie called An Inconvenient Truth which focused more on the problem instead of the solution. For example they give information on how it was almost impossible to stop Hurricane Katrina from happening as well as other global warming situations which are occurring as we speak. Is that...
