Abortion the Cold Facts
“A person is a person no matter how small is a quote made famous by Dr. Seuss. This quote is from a story Horton Hears a Who. The story is about a kind hearted elephant that protects an entire civilization living on a speck of dust. Horton gives this quote several times throughout the book to explain why he is protecting theses “people”. However this statement is not true. Today I will give you the facts of abortion the hard way. You may all consider your self’s people right well your wrong. The fact of the matter is that until you came out of your mother’s womb you were not a person at all. It doesn’t matter that you had your own heartbeat. It doesn’t even matter if you had your own blood supply if your mother decided you shouldn’t be born, it would not be murder right? However what if your mother had waited till you were born to end your life, she would be serving time in jail right? Now my question to you is what the difference? Let me ask the question a different way, if the person who gave birth to you, the person who is supposed to love you, decided you didn’t deserve to live, does that mean you never existed? Those who believe abortion is right believe that the mother should make the decision on whether her “baby” should live or not. But terminating a human life through abortion is cold blooded murder. I understand not all people think murder is wrong, however those of you who find murder unforgivable should also feel the same way about abortions. Did you know that there are each year 1.2 million deaths caused by abortions? Why are abortions performed? Women choose abortion for many reasons, but the most common reasons reported are relational problems with the father of the child, worry about responsibility, fear of financial liability, concern about lifestyle changes, and fear of others discovering sexual activity.
