Abortion is one of the most controversial subjects in life today. Some say it is ok to kill innocent babies and others say it is murder. How does one truly judge who is right and who is wrong? It is possible to yield to legalizing abortion and to post a law against it as well. Our Bible says to follow man’s law as long as it does not contradict what GOD asks of us. We have set rules for driving, rules for school, and even rules for walking. In all of those rules listed we follow without a second glance, but with the law of abortion we have turned our eyes away allowing for it to happen. A murderer gets his/her tittle by taking a life, so why can we not give the person who decides to have the abortion and the one who does the procedure, the same name? Should abortion be banned completely? No, but there should be a stricter policy enforced. Women deserve the right to make decisions over their own bodies, but as everything in life has an imperceptible line so should this. Society has put in action certain steps that help prevent unwanted pregnancies such as the birth control pill and shot, and condoms. In addition kids from the age of 13 and up are educated on the consequences of sexual relations. Teachers and parents push abstinence for years. The world requires rules to be followed yet allows for something as important as this to be broken by permitting these girls/women to have an option of destroying a life that did not ask to be created. There are ways to grant a woman her rights to her own body and still bring down the amount of abortions. Having a stricter age limit such as, no abortions for those who are 17 to 40 unless they can show legal proof that carrying that baby will put their own life in danger. Give those who are between 17- 40 the option of adoption only. The other reason to permit an abortion would be if the mother is a serious drug user.
