GOOD MORNING ONE AND ALL .! RESPECTED PRINCIPAL SIR, TEACHERS AND MY DEAR FRIENDS.. THIS IS POOJA CHANDAK FROM CLASS IX. TODAY I AM HERE TO EXPRESS MY VIEWS ON THE TOPIC " THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN REALISING THE DREAMS OF DR. KALAM".
AS ALL OF YOU KNOW, DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM IS AN EMINENT SCIENTIST AND HONOURABLE FORMER PRESIDENT OF INDIA. HE HAS A GREAT LIKING FOR HIS OUNTRY. HE HAS THREE VISIONS FOR INDIA. HIS FIRST VISION IS THAT OF FREEDOM. ACCORDING TO HIM, ' IF WE ARE NOT FREE, NO ONE WILL RESPECT US '. HIS SECOND VISION FOR INDIA IS DEVELOPMENT. HE WANTS TO SEE INDIA AS A DEVELOPED NATION INSTEAD OF A DEVELOPING ONE. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, HIS THIRD VISION IS THAT INDIA MUST STAND UP TO THE WORLD. UNLESS INDIA STANDS UP TO THE WORLD, NO ONE WILL RESPECT US.
First of all youth need to have strong character which need to be based on a catch word "WATCH", standing for people who watch their Words (W), Actions (A), Thoughts (T),
First of all the youth should fight for equal rights for all the citizens. Even now, there are lots of people who do not get equal rights. India should have youth politicians and they should live in clean democracy and let others also to live in corruption free India as India is now full of corruption. We see lots of news related to corruption each day. In the present day the burning topic is Black Money, but is the answer in getting the money back or is it important to eradicate the root cause from where this comes? In this fashion the problems need to be addressed. The youth should not get swayed away by lucrative political slogans, this is what the meaning of 'WATCH' is all about. There is great responsibility on the shoulders of youth in abolishing corruption. They should also empower the masses to fight for their rights. Nowadays the youth brains of India are working as brains for other countries looking for great salaries . The youth should work for the development of their own country.     Youth Politics is a category which involves or otherwise impacts the Youth. People between the age of 15 and 35 constitute youth. Those in their teens among the youth are said to be of tender age. They are not considered experienced and knowledgeable enough to understand the complex world of politics. That is why some people believe that the youth should not take part in politics. But when the government reduced the age of eligibility for casting vote from 21 to 18, the message was quite clear: that the youth should actively take part in the process of elections whereby the candidates are elected to form governments at the state as well as centre. India is the biggest democracy in the world. The real power lies in the hands of the people who elect the people who rule the country. The basic principle of democracy is that it should have a wide participation by the people. The more is the percentage of voters out of the total population of the country, the stronger is the base of the democracy because the mandate given in the elections would have a popular sport. By making the age of casting of vote as 18, the government brought crores of people within the ambit of active participation in elections thus giving a broad base to the democratic processes. It also gave the message that our youth is mature and wise enough to understand their responsibility and they would give their mandate after carefully considering candidates’ capabilities. Being young, they are not swayed by the old systems of caste, creed and other orthodoxy which had been the bane of Indian politics for quite some time in the post-independence era. The government also seemed to have realized that it was important for India’s future to induct the youth in the democratic process at an early age.
