3 Unique Traits

I am a person who focuses on independence, leadership and resilience. I believe these three qualities define who I am as a person and are my strongest attributes. Entering the college life, I know that I would have to be way more independent now than I ever was during my high school years, I know that I can no longer depend on my mother to wake me up in the morning for school or help me with some of my work when I don’t understand what’s going on. Coming into a new environment where you don’t know anyone is always a little scary. But, I am confident of my ability to blend in with the Aggie family with my characteristics of being a leader and being a leader is the most important trait a person can possess. Leaders make good decisions so they’ll be able to set examples for others, or have the personality and capability to draw people around you to do great things. That doesn't mean that I have to be an absolute leader or head of any team but being the unique person that pulls people together and get things done and also leaders can always think for themselves. It took me some time to think about how resilience is one of my best traits, but I always heard people tell me that I am very resilient when it came to things but I never really understood what it mean but as I looked into the Merriam Webster dictionary and found the definition of resilience it said that resilience is “Able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed or Able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.” So as I reflected over the definition I became more enlightened on what it really meant and understood why people said that about me because I know that I have always shown a strong desire to bounce back or adjust to new things when times got rough during my life. I feel I have displayed all of these characteristics by being a part of the Student Council and giving food to homeless on Thanksgiving and giving toys to families on Christmas but...
