3 Idiots Reaction Paper
INTRODUCTION
The movie “3 Idiots” is an Indian film about the life of three engineering students who went to study at one of the best colleges in India, the Imperial College of Engineering. Coming from different walks of life, the three “idiots”, Farhan Qureshi, Raju Rastogi , and Rancchoddas "Rancho" Shyamaldas Chanchad, will become best of friends. But the movie will circle on how the wisdom and ideals of Rancho will influence the life of his two friends and other characters in the story.
At first, Rancho’s giftedness seemed entertaining to his friends and classmates. But his free spirit and wit will irritate his lecturers including the college director, Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS).
Standing by their new beliefs as inspired by Rancho, the three friends will face obstacles that will test their loyalty and determination.
Valuable lessons can be learned from the characters portrayed in this film, even from the antagonists.
The movie all throughout illustrated how the elder people of India (in the story) make themselves prisoner to the expectations and high regard of others. They pass on this burden to their children who had to sacrifice their passions, happiness, and future.
The movie also seemed to point out how important open and honest communication is within the family. Communication is so important that failing to be understood or to understand may lead to serious heartbreaks and depression among family members.
I have also observed that verbal wit is entertaining. But in the long run, our actions are what will win the respect and the hearts of people.

They didn’t buy a car or an extra air conditioner (only Farhan’s room had AC) because they prioritized Farhan’s study needs. Coming from a

Adding to appeals to ethos, the speaker tries to build his credibility by the end of his speech. He explains that we should think about the revolution in the education system because we just examine students from their academic abilities. Thus, he states, “We should radically rethink our view of intelligence”. Basically, he means our view of intelligence should be reviewed as there are different types of intelligence and everyone has different than others, so we should suggest students to pursue career accordingly. He further explains the characteristics of intelligence, “intelligence is diverse, dynamic and distinct”. It is diverse because everyone thought and visualized the world in different way. The reason I have chosen this film text it because its purpose expresses moral lessons though animated film. An example of this is; when flick learns that he doesn’t have to be like everyone else in the colony and becomes an independent ant, who then goes in search for his inner-self. This has and does relate to me through my youth as it has always has taught me even if I’m not like everyone else or like or do the same things, that’s okay and that no matter what, I can still be noticed, liked and accepted in society despite how different I may be and stamp a big mark in society if I ever wanted to.…

The film is based on the autobiographical account of Mira Nair's own family.( Manish Gajjar 2002) It is about a stressed father, a bride-to-be with a secret, a smitten events coordinator, and relatives from around the world who create much ado about the preparations for an arranged marriage in India (IMDB). The excellent exploitaation of symbolism, colour and costumes together with the contrast between modern and traditional India has been successfully depicted the Indian values and beliefs. Nonetheless, with the use of representations, and by dealing with the concept of love, cultures and gender, the film manages to capture the attention of its audience and to broaden its appeal to all corners of the globe…
