For centuries the profession of teacher has been considered as important and noble, because these people bring us up. However, other people think this profession has lost its positions and respect nowadays. Who is right?
In my opinion, teacher’s profession may be disrespected by teachers themselves because their life is inevitably connected with stresses and low salary, but it will never lose its value in their pupils’ eyes – I don’t speak about dull ones who even does not know his teachers’ names. As for me, I deeply respect teachers for their great patience, time they spend on us, priceless knowledge they present to us. Besides, they teach us how to survive in the game named life.
In contrast, opponents of my view claim that the profession of teacher is depreciated now but they fail. For the vast majority who live hand to mouth this profession is unpopular and undesirable. Nevertheless, some rare people definitely choose to be a teacher because they are keen on contacting children and open new horizons with them. They prefer kids’ friendly laughter to the rustle of money bills.
Taking everything into account I would like to say that the profession of a teacher will be in honor forever despite all. People dreaming about this profession never will become an extinct type, they still exist among us. I feel the benefits of this profession like positive emotions and so on will outweigh the disadvantages.
11. Nowadays environmental problems are too big to be managed by individual persons or individual countries. In other words it is an international problem.The problems of the environment have become very notorious for the present civilisation. Unfortunately, people are witnesses of completely desolate, spoiled territories and very changeable climate. As a result, the world aspires to unify efforts of each country and every person in a fight with global problems of the environment. At the same time, it would not be a democratic discussion if some negative tendencies were overlooked, for instance, that there are many speculations about ecological problems because it has become very prestigious and beneficial to protect the environment.
It is important to clarify and define the key problems of the environment. There are many serious changes in the global climate, for instance, the vast glaciers in the pole regions have been melting. At the same time, this process endangers many countries, which are situated near the sea. The problem is that melted ice enhances the danger of devastating flooding.
The present situation with the environment dictates the importance of finding solutions to this problem. In many countries, there are a significant number of non-governmental organisations, which have as an aim to protect the ecological system. However, as it was mentioned above the negative processes in the world are so global and intensive that local non-governmental organisations are not able to be so effective. This is the main reason, which has provoked strained deliberations between many countries, and this dialog has helped them to arrive at the decision that it is very important to unify global efforts. There is a considerable number of many positive examples of this work. For instance, the UN is an organisation, which is very successful in the protection of the environment.
Each discussion should be comprehensive, and this is the reason why there should be introduced pole facts and opinions. Unfortunately, the issue of the environment attracts many organisations which aim is not to protect the ecological balance on the Earth. This situation provokes many speculations in this field. For instance, reading newspapers people may see much evidence when politicians receiving additional points used the problems of the environment or the facts when the money were destined for the environment were stolen by dishonest officials. Fortunately, this trend does not outweigh the positive effect of global efforts, which are connected, with the protection of the ecological system.
In the conclusion, it is important to highlight the key points of the present discussion. The environment is suffered from the negative actions of people, and the consequences are disastrous. However, many countries are trying to overcome this issue, and to find the solution to this problem. This trend is a good argument, which emphasises that ecological problems are global problems and they need a united effort. However, there are some dangerous which can have negative effect on the protection of the environment, such as speculations about environmental projects. At the same time. From the author’s point of view, these facts are not able to outweigh the benefits of the work of some organizations, such as the UN. Finally, I want to say that I am sure that this policy will breathe new life into the global efforts of the protection of the environment.
1. Some people believe that our modern lifestyle is very unhealthy. However, we tend to live longer than 100 years ago. The rapid grow of globalization has made people easy to work in office with electronic assistance such as, computers. Honestly, the significant of the technology in work field is really affected to the way of life. People worry some to loss of physical activities due to technology improvement. This essay would argue the topic in connection with a healthy life style and an unhealthy lifestyle in modern era.
First and foremost, some people argue that it is easy to get a healthy way of life in modern era such as; a lot of healthy food is available in internet. It is difficult to enunciate the single side without other sides. Secondly, citizens believe that it is really hard to vanquish an unhealthy lifestyle in globalization era.
The cosmopolitan lifestyle is the newest thinking after revolution industry in British countryside, the invention of technology is the basic of new age, and people could use a lot of technologies to help their life to be better. A web page, for example, is a significant thing to contribute people in London, to find sources inhabitants are using the internet to search healthy foods in several web pages which are available in “World Wide Web”. It is essential to pursue a healthy life in modern due to the smart invention of cyber technologies.
Vice versa, the white-collars who work in office, they argue that it is hard to get a healthy life style because of the technology treats considerably to human especially working in office. Take a computer for example; workers tend to deal their job with effectively and properly without any mistakes by using computer. Therefore, working in an office and spending much time in front of office table are the necessary of job to produce a tremendous result. As a result, the white-collars are difficult to deal with a healthy lifestyle and lack physical exercises.
To sum up, the modern society, undoubtedly, believes that the technology is a significant stuff to assist people to pursue the healthy lifestyle. Although, other views consider that the technology in modern era is a primary stuff to influence the way of life to the worst level in spite of the technology could bring a lot of benefits for human life in modern era.
2. People do many different things to stay healthy. What do you do for good health? Use specific reason and example to support your answer.
No one deny that good health is one of the most important factors in our lives. With good health, we are able to do what we want, for example, to attend classes in school, to perform well at work or to travel to the interesting attractions. On the contrary, if we are in poor heath condition, we may be hindered from doing the activities mentioned above. Consequently, people try to stay healthy. I myself try to eat healthy food, do exercise as often as possible as well as get good sleep at least 6 hours a day to keep myself fresh and healthy.
“You are what you eat” I believe that everyone heard this saying before but I do not believe that everyone can eat only healthy food, because some unhealthy food, for instance, junk food, snacks like potato chips, are not only tasty, but they are also convenient to eat any where any time. I am one of those people who used to enjoy eating delicious stuff. However I always try to think about those people who are sick because of their eating habit. One of my cousins got diabetes since he was only 23 years of age, and that leads to several health problems. Since he was a kid, instead of drinking a lot of water every day, he has been drinking soft drink every time he is thirsty. Now his parents have to spend large amount of money to cure his illness. He also cannot concentrate fully on his study because the illness keeps torture him. From this lesson, I always select good and clean food for myself and not eat just because of food’s appetite.
Many people complaint that they are to tired from work to do exercise, so they choose to relax by lying down in front of TVs, watching movies or playing computer games. In my opinion, we still need exercise at least 1-2 times a week, no matter how much work or study we have done. During my study, I swam in the campus’ pool twice a week. After graduated and got a job, due to the time limit and lack of facilities, I hardly did any exercise for one year. I can tell that my body system had deteriorated. I did not eager and my brain was not ready for learning new things like the time I was in university. I believe that exercise also plays an important role in helping my body to fuction well. That is why I change my habit, I try to go to gym every other day after work and the result is that my physical and mental health has surprisingly getting better.
Not getting enough rest will clearly impact my effiency in work. I was once required to prepare presentation for a meeting with a very short notice. I worked very late at night, went to bed at 4 o’ clock in the morning. On the next day, although I managed to present the document to my boss and client, my performance was awful. I could not remember any detail of the product and feedback to clients’ questions with non - related answers. If I am in such a situation again, I prefer to try to do my best in preparing step and go to bed at a proper time so that I can do better on the important day.
In conclusion, I learn from my experiences that I should keep good balance of these three factors in order to stay in good health and it will finally help me living happiness life.
3. Fast food is very popular among teenagers. However, many experts consider fast food harmful to our health. What can you say for and against fast food? What kind of food do you prefer? Fast food has become a real disaster to the modern world. Without a doubt this food is very tasty but it must be emphasized that eating too much fast food which contains carcinogens may be deadly . Carcinogens is one of the reason fatal disease known as cancer and overweight.
As for me, I totally agree that fast food is bad for one's health. Consumption of such kind of food is adverse.
Before I used to eat it in much amount but after watching program on Discovery about its effect on people's health I at once decided to give up eating such food. It has to be said after giving up this unhealthy habit of eating fast food I became more healthy and active. In addition, I quickly shred some kilos.
Some people still prefer eating fast food. First of all, one's don't have to spend time on cooking. Secondly, it is very delicious as a lot of spices are added to it. Thirdly, it is fashionable and among teenagers to eat such food besides it is cheap. However, these people don't realize that they step-by-step they deteriorate their health. Personally, I think more propaganda must be broadcast in order people to be aware of the consequences of this habit.
To sum up, I would like to underline the importance of spreading information about harm caused by fast food. We must try to eat more fiber and fruit. Food which destroys carcinogens must be sold at low price in order more people can afford to consume it. Maybe under these circumstances people would eat more healthy food and as a result people would less suffer from heart disease and cancer.
4. Some people say that physical exercise should be a required part of every school day. Other people believe that students should spend the whole school day on academic studies. Which opinion do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
Views differ considerably when it comes to the issue of whether students should spend the whole school day on academic studies, in other words, students should only focus on the academic studies and ignore any other subjects such as the subject of physical exercise. Some people believe that students should try their best to learn academic studies such as maths or foreign languages, because theirs goal are in going to a better school in the future, and spending time on outside activities is waste time to take the physical exercise in school time everyday. On the other hand, others attest that students need the physical exercise in school time, because the most important point is student’s health rather than the student’s grade. Both of the opposite arguments appear to be somewhat convincing and stand to reason, but my personal experience and actual observations of life have led me to conclude that students should take physical exercise every day in school time. The following are reasons why.
First of all, it make no difference to their results that students spend time that could change their grade from good to bad. Let me put it this way. Some people refuse to spend time on physical exercise because they think the time they save from the physical exercise can be used to gain more academic knowledge; however, I don’t believe that can help students’ knowledge. Efficiency is more important to learn studies than spending a lot of time. For instance, when I was a child, I had to stay in the class for a whole day, what is worse; I had to cram after school. It meant that I had not any sport activities during my junior high school life. Therefore, my weigh grew to 90 pounds when I reached 15 years old. It took me three years to return to my proper weigh level. I think the purpose of physical exercise is that it can release students’ pressure and make their brain absorb more fresh air; therefore, they learn studies in the class more efficiency.
Second, students can benefit from physical exercise. For instance, some children are more willing to attend school because of exercise class. Not all students love to study for a whole day in school. Take me as an example, when I was an elementary school student. I was eager to play basketball or play soccer with my friends in school. If school removes the exercise time, some children will not go to school, because they find that there are no interesting things in school life. We should protect students’ right for playing games with their friends. If I were a student, I would have insisted that I want to take the physical exercise.
However, people who hold different opinion may argue that adults will be worried that students feel tired after playing basketball, and they will be not be interested in studying. Of course, it may be true that children will pay too much passion in outside activities and they will fail to have good grades in their exams.
In fact, the thing is not always only one choice. What if children have four days a week and the teacher can use one day to finish his class when the exam day is coming. This solution will easily solve the problem. Teachers’ and parents’ thinking should be more feasible.
In conclusion, given the reasons described above, when the advantages and disadvantages of whether students should spend the whole day in academic studies are carefully compared, the most striking view is obvious. It may be safe to arrive at the conclusion that teachers and parents should insist that children need some outside activities every day.
7. Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in?
Living in big cities and small towns, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Although it is bit difficult to say that whether living in big city is of more advantage than living in small towns or vice-versa, from my personal perspective I prefer living in a big city. The city life is fast paced, and facilities are more easily available. Any new products which come in markets, ranging from electronic items to even a simple pen, are instantly available in the city as soon as the products are launched. There are wide variety of shops and thus wide variety of choices to choose from.
Apart from the availability of products, the standard of living is much higher in cities when compared to towns. Too many job opportunities and wide range of products available depending on each ones budget has led to the improvement in standard of living. The city grows each day ,with some or the other new project coming up everyday. In cities we find large number of entertainment multiplexes, shopping malls, educational institutions, hospitals, restaurants,etc growing in number each day.
The standard of education is also very high in cities.The easy availability of technology and modern teaching methods may also be one of the reason for this.In cities, we meet wide variety of people coming from various places. As a result of which we get to meet different people, share opinions, get to know different culture, get to taste different varieties of food and the list goes on. Thus enabling our over all personality development, which helps us to lead a better society life.
I do agree that living in cities has got some disadvantages such as Pollution, traffic jams and increased cost of living. However when compared to advantages, the disadvantages are negligible. Thus I believe living in city is more beneficial than in a small town.

Nowadays, the world population has been increased rapidly. The following is an increase in human activities. A lot of individuals strongly think that the ways human live are hurting the Earth. However, many people argue that human activities change the Earth in a better way. As for me, I certainly believe that human activities cause many problems to world. The following essay will provide reasons and examples to explain my position.
First of all, the world temperature has been increased continuously. Many countries around the world are now facing the climate change that make the weather become strange. No one can deny that this phenomenon occurred because of the way people use to satisfy their needs. For example, car industries release an enormous quantity of carbon dioxide that leads to a rise of the world temperature. Because everyone would like to own a car, it can be predicted that the emission of carbon dioxide will be increased consequently. So, our world is unquestionably in a dangerous position.
Moreover, the extinctions of some species of the animal are as a direct result of human movement. Again, an increase in the world population makes people to seek for a place to live. This means, we have to cut the trees or even break into the forest to build a community. Consequently, the animals have nowhere to live; and finally they will be disappeared from the world. However, some persons may argue that humans do not neglect the Earth and try to improve it. But there is an admittable theory that the Earth has its own way to balance itself. Thus, the more people interrupt, the less the world balance. It seems that it turns out to be another support of my belief.
In short, the activities of people affect the Earth in both ways, good and bad. However, I have found that there are more negative impacts than positive impacts. Hence, I suggest that we should love and care our world more than we do today.

Nowadays some may hold the opinion that using mass media,including television,radio and newspaper obviously influence on the thoughts and behaviors of people,but others think that what people think and behave in daily life has nothing to do with mass media. As far as I am concerned,I agree that television,radio,newspaper more or less affect in shaping people's ideas. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.
The first reason is that the time people spend watching TV,reading newspapers leaves them almost no time thinking on their own. If they using these mass media too much,it may cause mental laziness because most time they just listen to radio or stick eyes to television,newspaper and let scenes films,lines in newspapers flow in their mind without thinking by themselves.
Another reason why I agree with the statement above is that many people watching films are influenced by the characters or scenes. For example, last year a film called " Full house" was on TV in my country.This film was so famous that it raised a "fever",everyone watched it,especially teenagers. The main character is a very beautiful and cute girl. Immediately after 2 weeks "Full house" was on TV, many teenagers seek to buy clothes like the main character's. Adding to films, many advertisements on TV have a great influence in the decision of people. For example, my brother bought a purifier water to remain alive last week just after watching an advertisement on TV,saying that the water we are drinking is heavily polluted.
Finally,when you read newspaper or listen to radio, you are often persuaded by their analysis,argument,or persuasive voice. You will see everything in newspaper,on radio is reasoning,which may affect on the way you think,the way you say in daily life. You don't know people who write papers,speak on radio are trained to do it. They always have the way to make listeners or readers believe them.
In a word, from reasons above, we may reach the conclusion that the mass media certainly affect people' ideas. People should not spend too much time watching Tv,reading newspaper or listening radio.

Television is one of the miracles of science. If has a great impact on all walks of life, as it is an easy tool of information. I agree that, television bring insurmountable changes in the day-to-day lives of people. To begin with, as television is an audio visual media it has a great impact on it’s viewers. Latest information relating the fields of education and entertainment are available through television. Students can broaden their knowledge by watching documentaries and news updates. Channels like animal geographic and B.B.C are excellent tools to learn more and their academic performance will improve. Besides, the advertisements in television provide the details and the entry of a new product, which enables people to make a better choice and selection of price and quality. This eventually, gives them financial benefit and satisfaction.
Apparently, since ‘seeing is believing’, it is an effective way to educate people about teaching desirable behaviors like following rules, abolishing a bad habit such as smoking and so forth. Through breaking news, news around the globe is easily accessible to members of the society. It enlighten them about the latest developments in every field. For instance, the news about economic crisis makes people to be more vigilant in share market and move on to more secure investments. Moreover, the talk shows and live discussions broaden the horizons of their knowledge and remove their doubts related to that subject. To illustrate, the discussion with a doctor about AIDS, provides mode of transmission, sign and symptoms in detail and they are able to removing their doubts and protect themselves. Political leaders can publish their policies and public can discuss and think about the pros and cons of these policies. These are capable of molding public opinions and desirable changes. People attend college or university for various reasons like new experiences, career preparation to get a good job and to enhance their knowledge. I do believe that the above statement is true. Here are some of the reasons;
First and foremost, college or university provides you a platform to move forward in your life. This is a transition from school life to the new world - the college or university. This is entirely different from your school. Here you face different challenges and learn a lot of new things like teamwork, group presentations that build up your confidence. You familiarize yourself with new experiences.
Second, college gives you an opportunity to polish your abilities. In college, you can study professional subjects that may help you to decide about your future. After getting diploma, or degree from there you can join the profession of your interest like medicine, science, information and technology, engineering,etc.
On top of that, in college teachers are highly qualified. They are well experienced and are well aware of the hurdles that students may face studying their textbooks. You can not learn everything from the book, you always need a teacher to explain the answer to the queries that arise in your mind. They have full command with their subjects. This knowledge ultimately helps you in your future.
Last but not least, different people attend college who belong to different cultures and races. You get the opportunity to socialize with them. You learn to communicate with people of various habits and thus can build up good relations with them.You can find a lot of people who are more career focussed while some are more interest in sports or extra-curricular activities and yet some of them attend college for nothing. They just sit in the classroom formally and spent most of the time in doing useless things like wondering in the college like a stranger, or sit in the cafeteria to put jokes on others and to show off how rich they are.
All in all, mostly people attend college or university for new experiences, career preparation and to acquaint themselves with good knowledge and new people. And this may help them in their future life.

Some people believe that the best way of learning about this game is listening to the advice of family and friends and some others think that it is through personal experience. Both ways of learning about life are considered good because they have their own distinct advantages; my preference is learning about life through personal experience. Advices from others are more realistic and reliable yet personal experience enhances your maturity. However, I think that learning through personal experience is preferable because experience is more memorable and indispensable in life.
Advice from family and friends are more realistic since it is what they have been through and it helps you to predict the result. Family members such as your parents’ advices are considered valuable because they can give you proper and sincere guidance on every aspect in life through their experiences or common sense. For instant, my parent told me not to play with fire. I listened to their advice because this is a general common knowledge and I know that it is harmful and inappropriate. From listening to family and friends advice, you can definitely avoid many unexpected obstacles.
Learning about life through personal experience can help you become more independent and mature person. You never know what you can do until you try. If someone told you should not go diving because it is dangerous, you will never experience the gorgeousness of the seabed. On the other hand, if you have previously been through...

There has been a strong debate on the influence of parents or friends on the young adults. Different people have different angles of thoughts for this hot issue. Some people consider parents to be more influential on the young adults while others stand against this point of view. In my view, young adults are more influenced by their friends rather than their parents on the basis of following;
First of all, young adults are mature enough. They are grown up now and have liberty of thoughts and actions. At this stage of life, they are full of passions, excitement and adventure. They like to accept challenges and see the world in different way. They go to the college or university and make new friends. This is the peak period where they are influenced by the peer group the most. On the other hand, children are under the influence of their parents and are continuously observed by them. Parents always keep an eye on their actions and try their best to abstain their children from the bad impact of society. Children know that if they do something wrong, parents are there to help them.
Secondly, when adults make friends of their own choice, they may be either good or bad for them. If they have good friends, they can help them in their studies, explore their hidden abilities and encourage them to show their talent to the world. They enhance their level of confidence, make them learn to negotiate on various issues and get along with others. However, if adults have bad company, this turns their lives no less than a hell. They engage themselves in bad habits like smoking cigars, drinking alcohol, drug abuses, missing lectures or teasing people. They tread them to the wrong path. As for example, if you make a friend who is a habitual smoker and insists you to try one cigarette and you refuse first but later on you do the same as your friend told you, you also become one of them.
Thirdly, adults like to share their problems with their friends. They can talk to them freely on any matter. Perhaps this is because, they are age fellows and have same likes and dislikes. They cannot share their personal matters with their parents due to generation gap. Adults are aware of the fact that if they have messed up something and tell about it to their parents how will they react. So they try to resolve the problems by their own efforts.
Above all, young adults are enthusiastic, liberal, make friends of their own choice and share their matters with friends freely and are no more influenced by their parents as compared to the children.

I have never been to any foreign country, but if I have a chance to go to a foreign country for two weeks I would choose China to come. There are a lot of reasons I choose to go to China, but the main reasons I want to mention are listed as follows.
First and foremost, China has the same culture and history as my country. My country, Vietnam, is located in the South of China, so it has the same border with China and the close relationship with China, too. In the past, Vietnamese people used to go to China and brought a great deal of cultures back to Vietnam. As a result, Vietnamese people gradually accepted those Chinese cultures as a part of their own cultures. Therefore, if I go to China, I will be familiar with the way people thinking and doing. When I go to visit some places, I can understand how they behave with each other, and everything will be easier for me because almost everything seems familiar to me. It also will foster my cross-cultural understanding significantly.
Second, China is a very large nation with so many beautiful places and historical monuments for me to discover. When I was a child, I used to watch a lot of Chinese movies that contain many spectacular and splendid places such as Great Wall, Purple Forbidden City, and so on. I wished I would have a chance to go to these places once in my life time. Hence, if I have an opportunity to go, it will make my dream come true. I will take a lot of pictures in order to keep the most memorable time I have and introduce it to my friends and my relations. And I sure that most of them will be interested in China and want to have a same journey to mine.
Last but not least, going to China, I can enjoy many delicious foods in here. Obviously, China has a long history of civilization and great cuisine culture. I can see that Chinese food are almost everywhere in the world. Moreover, people in China often cook the same food as people in my country by using the same gradients, spices, and recipes. It would be great if I can enjoy many different exotic meals during my short vacations while they are very familiar to my taste. There will not be anything like culture shock happening to me.
In summary, although there are many beautiful countries around the world I want to visit someday, I will still choose China to come if I have a chance to go there. Everything will be interesting and memorable for me when I can experience Chinese culture first-hands, go to wonderful places, and enjoy spicy Chinese foods.

Most people find travelling very exciting. It gives them an opportunity to enjoy sightseeing, to discover new things, to meet interesting people, to rest physically and morally and to get wonderful impressions.
For me there is hardly anything more interesting and exciting than a journey to a foreign country. I've been to London, Paris and Rome and it is the most wonderful experience in my life. Travelling abroad gives me a chance to feel thousands of miles away from home, to visit great cities and small villages, to admire foreign architecture, cuisine and culture, to make friends and what not. What is more, it is the best way to broaden your mind, to improve your knowledge of history and geography and to make your life interesting.
However, a lot of people are sure that there is much to be seen in our own country. Indeed, it is difficult to disagree with them. There are many places of interest in my native town: ancient churches, monuments, museums and parks. One can go to Moscow and visit its theatres, cathedrals, art galleries and what not. There are various movie and entertainment channels like HBO, Cinemax and Disney Channel lead to the increase number of viewers, particularly for children. Some parents also encourage them to watch these programs because they afraid of danger of outdoor activities. Traffic and crime may threaten their children. No one deny that good health is one of the most important factors in our lives. With good health, we are able to do what we want, for example, to attend classes in school, to perform well at work or to travel to the interesting attractions. I myself try to eat healthy food, do exercise as often as possible as well as get good sleep at least 6 hours a day to keep myself fresh and healthy.
“You are what you eat” I believe that everyone heard this saying before but I do not believe that everyone can eat only healthy food, because some unhealthy food, for instance, junk food, snacks like potato chips, are not only tasty, but they are also convenient to eat any where any time. I am one of those people who used to enjoy eating delicious stuff. However I always try to think about those people who are sick because of their eating habit. One of my cousins got diabetes since he was only 23 years of age, and that leads to several health problems. Since he was a kid, instead of drinking a lot of water every day, he has been drinking soft drink every time he is thirsty. Now his parents have to spend large amount of money to cure his illness. He also cannot concentrate fully on his study because the illness keeps torture him. From this lesson, I always select good and clean food for myself and not eat just because of food’s appetite.
Many people complaint that they are to tired from work to do exercise, so they choose to relax by lying down in front of TVs, watching movies or playing computer games. In my opinion, we still need exercise at least 1-2 times a week, no matter how much work or study we have done. During my study, I swam in the campus’ pool twice a week. After graduated and got a job, due to the time limit and lack of facilities, I hardly did any exercise for one year. I can tell that my body system had deteriorated. I did not eager and my brain was not ready for learning new things like the time I was in university. I believe that exercise also plays an important role in helping my body to fuction well. That is why I change my habit, I try to go to gym every other day after work and the result is that my physical and mental health has surprisingly getting better.
Not getting enough rest will clearly impact my effiency in work. I was once required to prepare presentation for a meeting with a very short notice. I worked very late at night, went to bed at 4 o’ clock in the morning. On the next day, although I managed to present the document to my boss and client, my performance was awful. Some people believe that students should try their best to learn academic studies such as maths or foreign languages, because theirs goal are in going to a better school in the future, and spending time on outside activities is waste time to take the physical exercise in school time everyday. On the other hand, others attest that students need the physical exercise in school time, because the most important point is student’s health rather than the student’s grade. Both of the opposite arguments appear to be somewhat convincing and stand to reason, but my personal experience and actual observations of life have led me to conclude that students should take physical exercise every day in school time. The following are reasons why.
First of all, it make no difference to their results that students spend time that could change their grade from good to bad. Let me put it this way. Some people refuse to spend time on physical exercise because they think the time they save from the physical exercise can be used to gain more academic knowledge; however, I don’t believe that can help students’ knowledge. Efficiency is more important to learn studies than spending a lot of time. For instance, when I was a child, I had to stay in the class for a whole day, what is worse; I had to cram after school. It meant that I had not any sport activities during my junior high school life. Therefore, my weigh grew to 90 pounds when I reached 15 years old. It took me three years to return to my proper weigh level. I think the purpose of physical exercise is that it can release students’ pressure and make their brain absorb more fresh air; therefore, they learn studies in the class more efficiency.
Second, students can benefit from physical exercise. For instance, some children are more willing to attend school because of exercise class. Not all students love to study for a whole day in school. Take me as an example, when I was an elementary school student. I was eager to play basketball or play soccer with my friends in school. If school removes the exercise time, some children will not go to school, because they find that there are no interesting things in school life. We should protect students’ right for playing games with their friends. If I were a student, I would have insisted that I want to take the physical exercise.
However, people who hold different opinion may argue that adults will be worried that students feel tired after playing basketball, and they will be not be interested in studying. Apart from the availability of products, the standard of living is much higher in cities when compared to towns. Too many job opportunities and wide range of products available depending on each ones budget has led to the improvement in standard of living. In cities we find large number of entertainment multiplexes, shopping malls, educational institutions, hospitals, restaurants,etc growing in number each day.
The standard of education is also very high in cities.The easy availability of technology and modern teaching methods may also be one of the reason for this.In cities, we meet wide variety of people coming from various places. As a result of which we get to meet different people, share opinions, get to know different culture, get to taste different varieties of food and the list goes on. Thus enabling our over all personality development, which helps us to lead a better society life.

This is entirely different from your school. Here you face different challenges and learn a lot of new things like teamwork, group presentations that build up your confidence. You familiarize yourself with new experiences.
Second, college gives you an opportunity to polish your abilities. In college, you can study professional subjects that may help you to decide about your future. After getting diploma, or degree from there you can join the profession of your interest like medicine, science, information and technology, engineering,etc.

There has been a strong debate on the influence of parents or friends on the young adults. Different people have different angles of thoughts for this hot issue. Some people consider parents to be more influential on the young adults while others stand against this point of view. In my view, young adults are more influenced by their friends rather than their parents on the basis of following;
First of all, young adults are mature enough. They are grown up now and have liberty of thoughts and actions. At this stage of life, they are full of passions, excitement and adventure. They like to accept challenges and see the world in different way. They go to the college or university and make new friends. This is the peak period where they are influenced by the peer group the most. On the other hand, children are under the influence of their parents and are continuously observed by them. Parents always keep an eye on their actions and try their best to abstain their children from the bad impact of society. Children know that if they do something wrong, parents are there to help them.
Secondly, when adults make friends of their own choice, they may be either good or bad for them. If they have good friends, they can help them in their studies, explore their hidden abilities and encourage them to show their talent to the world. They enhance their level of confidence, make them learn to negotiate on various issues and get along with others. However, if adults have bad company, this turns their lives no less than a hell. They engage themselves in bad habits like smoking cigars, drinking alcohol, drug abuses, missing lectures or teasing people. They tread them to the wrong path. As for example, if you make a friend who is a habitual smoker and insists you to try one cigarette and you refuse first but later on you do the same as your friend told you, you also become one of them.
Thirdly, adults like to share their problems with their friends. They can talk to them freely on any matter. Perhaps this is because, they are age fellows and have same likes and dislikes. They cannot share their personal matters with their parents due to generation gap. Adults are aware of the fact that if they have messed up something and tell about it to their parents how will they react. So they try to resolve the problems by their own efforts.
Above all, young adults are enthusiastic, liberal, make friends of their own choice and share their matters with friends freely and are no more influenced by their parents as compared to the children.

I have never been to any foreign country, but if I have a chance to go to a foreign country for two weeks I would choose China to come. There are a lot of reasons I choose to go to China, but the main reasons I want to mention are listed as follows.
First and foremost, China has the same culture and history as my country. My country, Vietnam, is located in the South of China, so it has the same border with China and the close relationship with China, too. In the past, Vietnamese people used to go to China and brought a great deal of cultures back to Vietnam. As a result, Vietnamese people gradually accepted those Chinese cultures as a part of their own cultures. Therefore, if I go to China, I will be familiar with the way people thinking and doing. When I go to visit some places, I can understand how they behave with each other, and everything will be easier for me because almost everything seems familiar to me. It also will foster my cross-cultural understanding significantly.
Second, China is a very large nation with so many beautiful places and historical monuments for me to discover. When I was a child, I used to watch a lot of Chinese movies that contain many spectacular and splendid places such as Great Wall, Purple Forbidden City, and so on. I wished I would have a chance to go to these places once in my life time. Hence, if I have an opportunity to go, it will make my dream come true. I will take a lot of pictures in order to keep the most memorable time I have and introduce it to my friends and my relations. And I sure that most of them will be interested in China and want to have a same journey to mine.
Last but not least, going to China, I can enjoy many delicious foods in here. Obviously, China has a long history of civilization and great cuisine culture. I can see that Chinese food are almost everywhere in the world. Moreover, people in China often cook the same food as people in my country by using the same gradients, spices, and recipes. It would be great if I can enjoy many different exotic meals during my short vacations while they are very familiar to my taste. There will not be anything like culture shock happening to me.
In summary, although there are many beautiful countries around the world I want to visit someday, I will still choose China to come if I have a chance to go there. Everything will be interesting and memorable for me when I can experience Chinese culture first-hands, go to wonderful places, and enjoy spicy Chinese foods.

Most people find travelling very exciting. It gives them an opportunity to enjoy sightseeing, to discover new things, to meet interesting people, to rest physically and morally and to get wonderful impressions.
For me there is hardly anything more interesting and exciting than a journey to a foreign country. I've been to London, Paris and Rome and it is the most wonderful experience in my life. Travelling abroad gives me a chance to feel thousands of miles away from home, to visit great cities and small villages, to admire foreign architecture, cuisine and culture, to make friends and what not. What is more, it is the best way to broaden your mind, to improve your knowledge of history and geography and to make your life interesting.
However, a lot of people are sure that there is much to be seen in our own country. Indeed, it is difficult to disagree with them. There are many places of interest in my native town: ancient churches, monuments, museums and parks. One can go to Moscow and visit its theatres, cathedrals, art galleries and what not. The Kremlin attracts thousands of tourists as it is the heart of Moscow and the centre of the Russian government. St. Petersburg, the former capital of Russia, is known for its magnificent palaces, famous museums, beautiful buildings and wide streets. Besides, there are many small towns and villages in our country which are definitely worth visiting.
To conclude, we should learn everything about our own country first of all. But if we want to learn more about the world around us and to expand the mind, we should travel abroad.

A new language gives a different outlook on life. Travel also teaches you independence, because it allows you to escape the familiar surroundings of home and stay in a strange or alien place. Just arranging travel and accommodation can give you new responsibilities. Often when people travel they leave everyday commodities behind and have to learn to cope without them. Improvising or making do without them teaches patience and determination, and when you return home you become more grateful for the things you left behind.
Not only does travelling allow you to see new cultures, it also often allows you to learn the roots of your own cultures. Travelling enables you to become aware of differences in lifestyle – whether they are regional or national - and to learn how different people interact and generally what they base their ideas on. Travelling lets people explore their own customs and way of life, and appreciate their countries’ history and traditions. Travelling introduces new ideas that can change your opinions on different topics and help you to become more open minded about things you would normally disapprove of. Such as exploring different political situations in countries you visit. By experiencing life in different social systems or under different governments, you can see how successful they are and form intelligent opinions. Travelling can also make you more aware of other traditions and help you understand different views and perceptions that foreign people have. Our neighbours in France, a mere twenty-two miles from our shores live diverse lives from our selves, socially, politically and legally. By visiting new places you are introduced to new etiquette, which you may be expected to abide by. This provokes awareness in many people on the correct rules of behaviour in society and broadens the mind.
The opportunities of travel are expanding. Package holidays are becoming more popular. And travelling to new countries is being made more accessible, and cheaper. In the future there will be orbital hotels in space offering ‘out of this world’ holidays. Ordinary holidaymakers will be able to travel to space and back. How could travelling to a different planet not broaden the mind? Space travel could put a new perspective on life and change the way you think and the way you live your live.

To a certain extend I agree that some of young people today use effectively their leisure time in productive activities. However, I also think that others spend hours on watching television and playing video games.
On the one hand, young people spending too much time on non-useful activities like watching television and playing computer games has tended to increase recently. First of all, the young are attracted by television. There are various movie and entertainment channels like HBO, Cinemax and Disney Channel lead to the increase number of viewers, particularly for children. Some parents also encourage them to watch these programs because they afraid of danger of outdoor activities. Traffic and crime may threaten their children. In addition, the introduction of many kinds of games on computers such as online and 3D games affects the young. They only stay at home and use their own computers or laptops with the Internet. Especially, the cost of these ways is low and acceptable.
On the other hand, it is true that some young people enjoy take part in productive activities when they have leisure time. They feel funny and happy in community. They can make more new friends and expand their knowledge. Furthermore, joining sporting clubs greatly benefits the young. on maintaining health and keeping fitness. For example, tennis or football clubs require the members to move and practice. Therefore, they can maintain their health and keep fitness well. Besides, these activities help them to prevent diseases.
In conclusion, in recent years, although some young people have tended to relax by watching television and playing computer games as not good use of their spare time, others are likely to attend in productive activities. Despite of having the encouragement from parents and community, the number of the young spending hours on non-useful may increase significantly.
