Course outline

Course Objectives:
In a country the state of the economy affects everyone, so macroeconomic issues play an important role in politics and business. The purpose of this course is to give ideas on economic aggregates such as national income, employment, investment, inflation, foreign exchange, export and import. The overall economic conditions of an economy influence the economic activities pursued by firms, entrepreneurs, business collectives and also by any individual entity. This course will also deal with the policies which influence the macroeconomic aggregates. This course will have an applied stance with discourse on real life macro economic issues with reference to Bangladesh and global situations. The theoretical aspects of the macro aggregates will be discussed in the context of the state of the Bangladesh economy, its policy decisions regime and the institutions involved in economic activities.
