of everything, all people living in this sick world are brainwashed except forWinston Smith and a few others. In this book we follow Winston Smith and his life in this nightmare world. He meet a girl, search for a secret group called the Brotherhood and the story goes on.
To be honest I've not finished the book yet, but so far I found this book interesting. In today's
political debates the "Big Brother" mentality is sometimes discussed. This author have really succeeded
in making a good and lasting novell.
I think the author, George Orwell, wrote this book as a nightmare vision of the future. The Big Brother society he wrote about reminds of Nazi Germany and Communism Russia. He wanted to show what could happen if we don't take care of our freedom!
I think this book is rather difficult to read and understand. The message the author want to give us with this book is very important and therefor I think this book is definitely worth reading, but maybe in a swedish edition. [continues]
