Journal Entries of a Black Slave from 1852 to 1886

1852 Thursday march 21st Well I’m going to tell you how it all happened it all started in 1852 on Thursday I was eating with my family we were eating rice, meat with some bread so after we finished our lunch me and some of the villagers went fishing. Then a few minutes later we sore a ship coming towards us when they set foot on land it was like a flash they fired a shot at a villager. some of us ran, and some of us stayed and fort I was trying to fight back but all I had was a fisher men’s knife.
The white men took us adored there ship and examined us they put us into groups the strongest and fittest where one group and the women were kept as maids and housekeepers some of our women where even raped they even took the kids. After a few hours of kidnaping the villages we set sale I heard we were going to a place could America. On those few weeks we were fed berley anything a couple of weeks later we reached America then we were split up all over the place but they kept us with our family’s half of the villages were transported to Chicago, Texas, practically all over the place . 1852 Friday 22nd on the second day we were kidnapped a white man came to us and said (we are not your enemies but use all will obey every single one of us) Well they gave us our jobs some of the women were sent to clean household’s to clean make food and to do jobs around the house and the men were sent to work into the farm to harvest food and crops and to fish the kids even were enslaved .
