Women are presented as submissive, sensitive and domesticated because of the stereotyping of genders, Such as the good and bad stereotyping of females and males in television ads. Gender stereotyping is not only in television and their ads they are also includes in television shows and musicals. Because of this females are made to be the housewife and the males are generally the typical working men that earn money to support their families. Images of males and females are sometimes difficult to see as stereotypes because they are in touch with their own beliefs and how they act, about the roles of themselves in our society. Many people find it disturbing when these roles are questioned.
Why good women are presented as sensitive?
The sensitive ones are the ones that take care of themselves and the people that are around them. Where as they have been stereotyped into thinking they are sensitive and misleading where as the men are supposed to be macho. Women are stereotyped as sensitive as and softer than their male partners. When women are presented this way it is because of sexual orientation, class, ethnicity (a group of people whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage, consisting of a common language, a common culture), gender, race, social role and occupation.
