The Fray broke onto the music scene with gusto back in 2005 with the release of their first studio album, How to Save a Life. Formed by schoolmates from Denver, Colorado, The Fray enjoyed wild success over their first single, “Over My Head (Cable Car).” The album’s popularity was so great, in fact, that it reached double platinum in the United States and even reached platinum status in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. After success with their first single, The Fray released their second single, “How to Save a Life,” and continued to enjoy a growing fan base all over the world. As a testament to The Fray’s rising success, “How to Save a Life” was used in the advertisements for the season premiere of theĀ ABC Network‘s show “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2006.
The alternative rock group released their self-titled second studio album in 2009 but didn’t enjoy as much success as they did from their hard-to-beat first studio album. The Fray’s second album did produce a winning single, “You Found Me,” which peaked at #7 on Billboard.com‘s Hot 100 chart. The Fray’s third album, Scars and Stories, will undoubtedly bring more of the emotive pop-rock sounds. Check out the track list below!
