Looking for a Workout CD?

If your idea of a great workout is lifting the television remote and making trips back and forth to your dorm room’s mini-fridge, Comedy Central might have something you need. Instead of blasting overplayed and over-remixed club beats into your ear buds, why not turn to something more mentally stimulating (if you ever decided to hit the gym)? Comedy Central Records just announced that on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 they will release The Beards of Comedy “Cardio Mix” album. Additional recordings released by Comedy Central records include albums by artists like Patton Oswalt, Lewis Black, Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg, and more.

Comedy Central is the only all-comedy network currently on television, and is a “registered trademark of, Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of Viacom Inc.” On November 22, The Beards of Comedy’s album will be released for your listening pleasure. The Beards of Comedy is made up of four funny gentlemen with beards. As the Comedy Central press release indicates, The Beards of Comedy is “quickly becoming one of the hottest shows in the U.S.” The group members include Andy Sandford, Joe Zimmerman, TJ Young, and Dave Stone. The men deliver comedy showcasing stand-up roots blended with musical and improvisational moments. Their quirky and refreshing set was recorded at the Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. Should you choose to run or actually exercise to “Cardio Mix,” you are sure to be cracking up all the way off the back of the treadmill.
