The members of the band The Neon Trees love to see new places, meet new people, travel and play live shows. The Neon Trees’ goal is to share the special feeling they got from the bands that inspired them, and “then pass the torch.” The four members of Neon Trees include Tyler Glenn on lead vocals and keyboards, Chris Allen on guitar, Branden Campbell on bass, and Elaine Bradley on drums and vocals. Tyler sums up his feelings well when he explains that, for him, “music is a sacred act of communion…offering hope and love.”
This past summer, Neon Trees performed an energetic and memorable set at Bonnaroo. Energetic is just one of the many positive adjectives that can be used to describe Neon Trees. Their music is a combination of hard-hitting, melodic anthems and smooth poppy hooks. The themes of their passionate rock include “adolescent angst, longing, love lost and found,” and others. Habits, their debut album with major label Mercury Records has enjoyed success via their single, “Animal.” When Chris Allen moved to Provo, Utah to go to school, Tyler travelled along. Neither knew much else except that they wanted to play music together. Shortly after, they joined up with the remaining two members of the band and the rest is history. Despite their differences as people, Neon Trees have certainly clicked.
