As#a#part#of#Civ576,#an#energy&audit&and&retrofit&feasibility&study#for$a$typical$Canadian$home$is$required.$ In#this#report,#the#specifications+of+the+targeted+house+are!introduced.!The$report$is$consisted$of$two$key$ components.* First* the* spatial* properties* of* the* building* are* detailed* in* various* CAD* drawings* which* include$floor$plans,$elevations,$and#section#views.#The#second#half#of#this#report#will#discuss#the#amount# of#thermal#resistance#offered#by#the#various#building#elements.#The#information#outlined#in#this#report# will$ serve$ as$ the$ corner$ stone$ to$ energy$ modeling! and$ optimization,$ which$ will$ be$ introduced$ latter$ in$ this%course.!

Spatial'Specifications!
Our$ proposed$ house$ is# located# in# North# Mississauga.# The# 2#storey' single#family! house& occupies& a& total& area$of$900$ft^2,$with$a$total$floor$area$of$2800$ft^2.$It$consists$of$a$basement$level,$a$living/dining$room,$ a" kitchen," three" bathrooms," 4" bedrooms" and" a" two#car$ garage.$ Detailed$ drawings" of" the" house" can" be" found&in&the$appendix$or#CAD#drawings#attached#after#this#report."! ! It#is#important#that#the#dimensions#indicated#are#controlled#estimates.#Due#to#equipment#constraints#and# lack% of% as#built& drawing& from& the& contractor,& the& interior& measurements& are& taken& by& using& tape& measures;!while&the&exterior&dimensions&are&the&interpolations&from&Google&Maps/Earth.&!
