For questions 1 and 2, refer to the following interface:
1 Describe five things wrong with the above interface.
1.1 Form fill-in formats
The input box given that asks users to fill in names; the label is not aligning with the input box. It makes the users confuse whether they should fill in name or not because when they saw the input box that has label ‘Date’ is alignment. Therefore, the ‘Your name’ label should be alignment with the input box.
1.2 Justification and white space ‘Your name’ and ‘Date’ need to be separated. This means, ‘Date’ can be put below ‘Your name’. The only input box that can be put side by side is something that relate to each other. For example, ‘First name’ and ‘Last name’. When ‘Your name’ and ‘Date’ has been separated, their alignment should be placed in justification. Then, there is problem between ‘Doctor’s name’ and ‘Medicine name’. The spaces between both of it are too wide. Waste of space is occurring. This may make the dialog box bigger as there is waste of space in it.
1.3 Display formats and data entry for items and lists
The use of list down menu is not suitable in this type of form fill-in. If the lists are too many, it will make the lists exceed the size of the dialog box. This may make the dialog box’s looks be not too good to see. User interface is also emphasizing a good design in everything it may apply. The input box for users to fill in their name should not too big. This is not a good design. To make it a good design, when ‘Your name’ and ‘Date’ has been separated, the input box’s size be set bigger. For example, may set the input box’s size into ‘30’ for the users to enter their name in 30 characters.
1.4 Icons, and graphics
The icon in the submit button is not suitable to be used. Most icons are only be used for standardize links or to interpret some sentences for the users to understand it. For example, home
