Supply Chain Management of Nike.Inc

1- Company Overview
NIKE was established on Sep 8, 1969. NIKE deals in design, development, global marketing and selling of footwear, apparel (bags, balls, socks, sport equipments, etc) and sports accessories. NIKE is a seller of these products worldwide and sells its products to retailers including their own brand stores and internet sales as well. Through its distributors, today NIKE is selling their products to 200 countries around the world.
2- Raw Material
In our analysis on NIKE, we will focus on the footwear product of NIKE. The raw material used in the production of footwear includes fabric, plastic, rubber, foams, metallics, textiles, cotton, wool and leathers. There are environmental implications in the raw materials used, for example, we consider leather which comes from cows which requires land, water and feed. Its processing involves large amount of energy, water and chemicals. There are two types of
