DESCRIPTOR
Professional Development 1 will develop students’ skills in critical thinking, problem solving and collaborative working necessary for professional and academic learning through group and teamwork, interactive class-based activities, team-based projects and a case study approach to business issues.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of the unit, students should be able to:
1. Appreciate the social, cultural, political, economic & legal dimensions of the business environment
2. Identify aspects of social and cultural diversity
3. Identify, appreciate and use own skills, interests and motivations in individual and team settings
4. Develop information & business literacy
