Statement of Purpose to Study in Canada
Respected Sir/ Madam,
I am Noorie Shakya, date of birth: 8 September 1993, permanent resident of 45-Panchakanya Ma. Vi. Marg, Chhauni, Kathmandu-13, Nepal, daughter of Mr. Prakash Man Shakya and Mrs. Usha Tamrakar Shakya. I have been accepted in Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Toronto, Ontario Canada M9W 5L7 as a full time student to study Diploma in Pharmacy Technician for fall intake 2012. I am more than delighted to obtain this great opportunity to study in one of the most reputed college in Canada. I am very much excited to have the opportunity to study in the world’s second largest country and most highly developed country like Canada.
When I finally made my decision to study abroad to acquire further education after completion of my Higher secondary education Board (HSEB), I realized that I really need to put on my full potential and work really hard. However, I had always dreamed of studying in the dynamic academic environment like Humber does have. With my tremendous effort and confidence in myself, I am writing this letter in hope of pursuing advanced studies in Canada. Such studies, I believe, are indispensable for my future career development and will benefit me for my whole life.
The journey actually started after I completed my SLC examination with a distinction grade, it was then time for me to choose a particular field on which I would be majoring. From my childhood, I had a very keen interest in Science, therefore, completed my Higher Secondary Education in the same stream. After completion of my High School, it was again time for me to join college. But with the ongoing political instability in my country, I highly doubted if I would be able to get that exposure and quality of knowledge. As Nepal is a under developing country, we have lots of opportunities for job in different sector but we don’t have much sufficient qualified skilled manpower. The situation of Education system is not as modernized as the demand of the people. We do not have skillful courses offered. After researching for a long time, I found Canada as one of the best of all. Canada, considered to be the most beautiful stretches of the Earth is not only rich in lush mountainsides & gorgeous snowcapped landscapes, but also has developed one of the world’s finest education systems with highest standards. Canada, world’s second largest country is a bilingual, multicultural Country- Land of immigrants which is also one of the most livable, safe, stable, and peaceful country.
I think with its world-wide recognized education system and blended mixture of different cultures and traditions; I can grow not just academically but professionally and culturally as well. The cost of studying in Canada is also fairly reasonable, as it’s not much different than studying in India or any other neighboring countries. In fact, Canada has got the cheapest tuition fees structure in comparison to USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK and many more.
Humber College is one of the Canada's top- polytechnic schools which provide student with high quality teaching, first rate classroom learning combined with hands on practical experience in the dynamic campus environment. International students studying at Humber have the unique opportunity to pair their global perspective with a respected, sophisticated Canadian education that offers dynamic work opportunities.
