8. Sheila Dikshit, the former chief minister of Delhi was appointed as the 22nd Governor of Kerala.
She will succeed Nikhil Kumar.
9. Indian-origin Gopal Rao won UK Twitter Prize.
10. Japanese architect Shigeru Ban won the Pritzker
Architecture Prize 2014.
11. Govind Mishra, the renowned Hindi author will receive Sarawasti Samman for the year 2013 for his book Dhool Paudho Par published in 2008.
