BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Getz Brothers & Co was founded in 1852 by a Prussian immigrant Joseph Getz and his three brothers in Lower Lake, California. Getz Pharma was initially set up in 1995 by Getz Brothers & Co. Inc. Getz Brothers & Co. distributes agricultural, biomedical, pharmaceutical, and technical products and consumer goods in more than 23 countries in Asia and has a presence in these markets for the past 89 years. Today Getz Pharma employs over 2,000 highly qualified people and has operations in South Asia, Central Asia, South-East Asia, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. MISSION

Medical Representatives play the most vital role in the pharmaceutical industry. They are the ones who sell the products to their customers in all means with the substantial knowledge of the items sold. Their tasks include the following: 1. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. 2. Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests. 3. Contact regular and prospective customers t\ o demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders. 4. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. 5. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. 6. Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs 7. Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
8. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences. 9. Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment. 10. Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales. With these tedious tasks and added activities, being in the position needs hard work while keeping the company and the customers in good relationship. Medical Representatives provides Daily Call Reports that enables the company to manage and determine work done by its Medical Representatives and Managers. This report allows company administration to have close eye on Medical Representatives located in diverse geographical regions via a simple user interface yet another complex and unsecured activity.
