Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden lived from 1957 until his death in 2011. He was the founder of Al Qaeda, the jihadist organization responsible for the attacks on the United States and numerous other mass casualty attacks against civilian and military targets. For many years he was public enemy number one, and the most wanted man in the world. He was a member of the wealthy Saudi bin Laden family, and an ethnic Yemeni Kindite. He was a very tall man who stood about 6’ 6”, and weighed approximately 160 pounds. He had an olive colored skin complexion, with brown hair and brown eyes, and for the most part always grew a long untrimmed beard.

Osama was born into a very wealthy family, and was his father’s seventh of 50 children. His father was a billionaire construction businessman with close ties to the Saudi royal family. Osama was the only child born from his father’s marriage to Alia Ghanem. Shortly after his birth his parents divorced and Osama went to live with his mother. Not long after his parent’s separation, his mother remarried Muhammad al-Attas, a friend of Mohammed bin Laden, who she met while he was employed at the bin Laden construction company. Osama’s mother and stepfather had three other children together, and Osama spent most of his childhood living with his step-siblings. His biological father would go on to marry two more times, until his death in a charter plane crash in September 1967. Osama was ten years old when his father died, and at that time he inherited close to 30 million dollars.
