To describe the accident causative factors.
To describe the impact of occupational accident.
To describe the definition of occupational health and safety.
To describe the importance of occupational health and safety

Did you know that in the last two years there were 190 workers died due to occupational accident in Banjarmasin. This showed amazing impact and proves that the mortality rate caused by occupational accident in Indonesia is still high compared with the other countries in the world.
As you may know, in general, accident can described as an event which results in unintended harm or damage. In other words, accident is an undesired event giving rise to death, ill health, injury, damage & other loss. 5 years ago there were 91,510 cases. Last year the number has gone up to 105,846 cases. That means that the number of occupational accident in Indonesia increased moderately more than 15% in 5 years, this is due to lack of awareness of Indonesian workers to their own health and safety in work environment.
It’s important to know what factors causing an accident at work. Accident can be caused by several factors such as human, environment, equipment, and hazard.
However, as far as i see, human is the most significant factor in causing errors and accident at work. Human error is an inappropriate or undesirable human decision or behavior that reduces or has the potential of reducing effectiveness, safety and system performance.
Occupational health and safety aims to foster a safe and healthy work environment and also to protect workers or employers, family members, and many others who might be affected by the workplace environment.
In my opinion, based on the above goals, the importance of occupational health and safety is how to ensuring a safe and health in the work environment. So I think with a safe and healthy work
