Isaiah Homework

Four Kings during Isaiah’s prophecy time
1) Uzziah
A) He reigned for 52 years (2 Chron 26:3)
B) Good points- He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done. He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. (2 Chron 26:4-5)

He developed a sophisticated army and was economically very prosperous and powerful. (2Chron 26:11-15)
C) Bad points- As Uzziah grew in strength and prosperity he quit trusting God and his pride led to his downfall. (2 Chron 26:16)
D) Major events- God struck him with leprosy after he arrogantly performed a temple ritual reserved for the priests. (2 Chron 26:6-21)
E) Attitude toward God- Uzziah sought after God. (2 Chron 26: 5)

2) Jotham
A) He reigned for 16 years, although some of these years might overlap with the reign of his father, Uzziah, while Uzziah was isolated with leprosy.

B) Good points- He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He rebuilt the Upper Gate of the Temple of the LORD. He worked on the wall at the hill of Ophel. (2 Chron 27:1-4)
C) Bad points- No information given
D) Major events- Jotham waged war against the king of the Ammonites and conquered them. Jotham grew powerful because he walked steadfastly before the LORD his God. (2 Chron 27:4-5)

E) Attitude toward God- He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD. He
walked steadfastly before the LORD his God. (2 Chron 27:2,6)

3) Ahaz
A) He reigned for 16 years (2 Chron 28:1)
