“The soldier is the Army. No army is better than its soldiers. The Soldier is also a citizen. In fact, the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one’s country” said George S. Patton Jr. Thanks to all of the soldiers who fought for our country we are living peacefully this day however, have you ever thought about the soldiers life? There has been many time soldiers have dreamt, thought and look forward to coming home to their family however, the reality that is hitting them today isn’t what they were actually thinking about while they were fighting for their country. Soldier’s lives weren’t much better from how they lived while they were in the war. One main reason their lives have changed majorly is because of the entire trauma they experienced in the war. Many soldiers believed that their lives would go back to normal once they returned to their family however it was as messed up as it was when they were in the war. After experiencing how it is to almost die it affects many people because they can’t think straight, they would have bad dreams from things they saw in war, living around dead bodies, etc. Lives for the soldiers and families that have soldiers aren’t as good either. Families are affected majorly because of all the deaths/ injuries that are caused from the war. Many people have no one to support them or they had to support an extremely wounded person. Soldiers aren’t able to adapt back to their original lives and citizens from the years of training and fighting for the war and they aren’t even physically/ mentally ready to work. They had at least something to do when they were in the war but from working extremely hard to just sitting around is very tough for anyone. A very tough thing many soldier are going through right now is getting to know their children better since they ere not in it while growing up.
