“The One Day of The Year” was set in Australia, in the 1960’s. It explores the universal theme of Father- Son conflict against the background of the beery haze and the heady, nostalgic sentimentality of Anzac Day. It is a play to make us question a standard institution, but it is the likeability and genuineness of the characters that give the play its memorable qualities: Alf, the nobody who becomes a somebody on this day of days; Mum, the anchor of the family; Hughie, their Son, with all the uncertainties and rebelliousness of youth; and Wacka, the Anzac, with his simple, healing wisdom.…
I would go to the football field and go into the box announcers seat with a crossbow, bottle of water, protein bar, boards and a walkie talkie to respond to the other look outs. I would hide out in the box and since zombies are slow it would take them quite a long time to get to but when they do my look outs will take them out but if some pass by or I lose a person I can shoot them from my perfect view in the box from the field they are on and once all of them have been taken out I will call my crew together announce over the speaker we are safe and then call in on my walkie talkie the helicopter get my crew and head to the white house for our medals of honor for defeating our zombie…

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who perished while serving in the military, a day to honor the soldiers who died while defending America. Our three day weekend in May is a wonderful time to get together with friends and family. To most of us, Memorial weekend it means no school/work and an extra day off. Memorial Day is so much more than a day off to have fun. Most students do not really even understand why they get school off; a lot of adult use this time for cookouts or parties. Memorial Day is a day where we, as Americans, should honor our fallen soldiers.…
The Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity began in 2004 when a student asked Bryan Kemper, founder of Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity, what he could do to help end abortion. A thought then occurred to Bryan and slowly it has evolved into a day of protest that people choose to remain silent for those who never had a voice. The poster advocating for the movement is not very effective at persuading its audience to agree with the act of remaining silent to help end abortion.…
