Last week, during week 4 we learned about the program and functions of Microsoft PowerPoint. There is a number of things that many have previous learned of have knowledge of pertaining to PowerPoint although one very important function that were unaware of to many, if not all, members of Team A. Those features consisted of the Notes Page View, Slide Sorter View and the Presenter View. The Notes Page comes in handy when you do not want to apply too much text to a slide(s) and you type the additional information below the slide in the “notes” section. The notes you right are not visible to the audience, so clicking on the notes page, you can view all the notes you wrote for that slide and present this while presenting. Secondly, the Slide Sorter View which displays thumbnails of your presentation slides and allows you to delete one or more slides and even re organize what you have laid out if you feel the slides are out of order. Lastly, is the Presenter View which is a compact view option that provides the presenter with a screen shot of the current screen in combination with other handy tools that can only be viewed by the presenter them self.…

My approach to reading the selection was to be able to repeat the most important information for myself and to know what the text I read was about in some details. I read it in a speed that was optimal for me to understand the context. I thought it was a long text but I timed myself while I was reading and found out that my reading speed is acceptable. I minimized distractions by choosing a good time during the day while my husband was at work and I had everything else done for the day. I read the selected text in my computer room in the afternoon (03.00 p.m.) when I felt like starting my assignment for school. I sat down in the computer room, left my telephone in the living room and locked out my cats and everything was quiet around me. I did not get emotionally involved, because the text was about business presentations and not for example about a tragedy. But I liked to read the text because I was able to learn something new and the text was interesting. When I was reading the selected text, I employed three out of the four reading purposes. I read as fast as I could understand the information given in the text to understand the context. The information I got from the text will also be useful for preparing my final project, a PowerPoint presentation in which I will apply the information practically. But most the…
