Research Plan
As part of your Research Plan, you must draft a research question for your research paper. A research question, which is more specific and focused than a general topic, is the question that you will answer in your paper. For example, if your general area of interest is Social Security, a potential research question might ask, “How might low-income families save more money under a reformed Social Security plan that includes personal retirement accounts?”
As you develop a research question, keep in mind that you will research sources with both supporting and differing viewpoints. Do not select a narrow or one-sided issue that will limit your research; instead, develop a research question that lends itself to further exploration and debate. What is your topic or area of interest? | Gun Control | In what ways is this topic appropriate for a persuasive essay? | The topic of gun control is very serious due to major vast in crimes that are committed on a day to day basis leaving citizens fed up with the fact that it is very easy for one to obtain a gun. | What is your research question? | With new gun control laws, will crimes committed by guns actually decrease? | How is your research question significant or relevant to the wider community? | Gun control is an issue worldwide. | What background information provides the preliminary grounds for your research? | Information from the news, internet information as well as documented interview and speeches from our political families. | What are some expert or authoritative sources of information for your topic? | President Obama’s speech and deep concern on gun control. | What types of materials do you expect to review for your research paper? | Articles, speeches, interviews, documented crimes and more. | What procedures will you follow to conduct your research? | First I will express a practical argument, then make a list of all things required for my

One of the most controversial issues in our society is gun control regulation. Gun control refers to restrictions or limits on possession, production, importation, shipment, sale, and/or guns by private citizens. There is an extreme amount of violence associated with guns that is increasing every year. Back in history when gun control laws and the second amendment was created, they didn’t have the huge fright that Americans have today of people constantly killing other people every day. Though, some people feel that it isn’t guns that kill people, it is the peoples fault. There are many questions that arise concerning who should be able to own guns and how those guns are obtained.…

    Essay On Gun Control

Gun control is a controversial and divisive issue in our routine life, not only in the United States, but also all over the world. Basically, gun control refers to governmental efforts to limit or restrict the production, sale, possession and use of guns by private citizens. Some people believe that it is necessary that federal and state laws allow citizens to purchase and possess guns, or even actively require adult citizens to maintain weapons in their house, and periodically to train in their use. However, others think gun control is indispensable in our society because gunshots are the main cause of death in the United States. As for me, I prefer to support the second view because guns are lethal and the fewer people that have them the better. The only function of a gun is to kill. The more instruments of death are removed from our society, the safer we will be. With my research, I found a lot of striking data about guns menacing people’s lives. There should be gun control in the United States because guns are a menace to people’s lives.…

Have you been thinking about gun control lately? Have you been thinking about how safe you really are in this world including your children’s safety? Can you believe that the total number of incidents in 2015 is a shocking number of 48,825? That is completely insane. Currently gun control is a topic of conversation mostly because of the recent tragedies. Statistics show that gun violence is raising the bar in tragedies through the year, now no legitimate study in the U.S. has ever shown that gun control has no positive impact on crime, death rates are on the rise, and more incidents are occurring in smaller towns during daily routines.…

Purpose: With that, I’m going to inform you on the two controversial sides of gun control. Gun control is important because we can be affected due to our safety, but also the constitution states we have the right to bear arms and are able to arm ourselves for protection. This is important to our generation because crime is rising and we want to always be safe in our society. I’ve done plenty of research because it’s important to myself to feel safe in wherever I go, and I want to make sure people are safe at all costs.…

With the Second Amendment giving American citizens the right to bear arms, and approximately fifty percent of Americans owning some form of a firearm, issues involving the ownership and possession of guns has led to debates in American society. Many feel that the some form of gun regulation is necessary in order to lower the level of gun related violence in the country. On the other hand, the opponents of gun control feel that it would be an infringement on their second amendment rights. The outcome and extent of gun control has strong political implications because it basically determines the present day meaning of the Second Amendment. While each side has strong points. Today, based on the number of crimes and violent acts committed with guns, society needs more gun control.…

In my lifetime there have been countless fatalities due to gun violence. Some people would say that, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”. Other citizens believe that the guns are the root of these deaths and more than likely contributed to the murder in such a way that, had the gun not been included, the equation would not equal murder. This topic can be explored from many different angles and points of view, but regardless of your opinion, the fact remains that guns are not going to just vanish off the face of the earth. Even if guns were to disappear murderers would still kill people.…
