Example of a Reflection
Analysis
In the end, based on my achieved goals, I managed to achieve more than I could. One of my goals were to get to school early so I could prepare and not miss it but I ended up being late because of the delay in bus schedules. My goals were shorter than what I’ve actually achieved while tracking my whole day and it’s crazy how things can change or stay the way you planned as long as you’re committed and motivated. I didn’t realize I would do a lot of waiting in a matter of 24 hours. I was most non-productive when I was waiting for the bus or my instructor but in other cases, my activities were really productive and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Strength
Time management is a skill anybody can have but just because I can manage my time, it doesn’t mean that the things I’m doing are easy. There’s a lot of hard work that has to be put in to be able to reach a certain goal or goals. When you don’t work hard, you won’t reach that goal. I found that it was really easy for me to reach my goals because I put effort on the things that I did and I enjoyed doing them.
Need Improvement
With great skill comes with great struggle. People who have the time management skill are great with attaining goals as long as they follow a certain goal set they’ve set for themselves. When the goal set isn’t followed, plans start to fall apart and things start to get a little hard. As for me, if I would have known that the 1:45 p.m. bus was going to be late, I could have taken the 1:25 p.m. bus and I would not miss the 2 p.m. bus and probably would have more time to write the quiz. That was a struggle for me. I need to set a goal for myself never to go last minute when there are tests or quizzes.
Reflection
I could say that most of my goals went as planned except for my morning struggle where I missed the bus and was late for a quiz that I almost missed and lost marks on. I know that the quiz was important because I’m still losing marks if I don’t write it and I didn’t think

Honestly, while I was getting the smart and focus two assignment done I imagined myself setting up different types of goals and not achieving any of them. The reason I predicted this was because usually when set an objective for myself it usually backfires as a result of me not being very motivated. Nevertheless, I gave these tasks a chance to hopefully learn new strategies for the future to manage my academic and, in the long run, my career. In addition while I usually fail at achieving my goal I hoped that this new strategy would help me create a more realistic goal.…

Always by my side and never out of reach, with piles of homework stacked in front of me, I steadily declined the use of time I spent on my goal. I convinced myself it was because of the lack of time and all the work, but I was lying to myself. I lied to myself and I believed it, I distracted myself from what was important and in turn destroyed my chance of accomplishment...once again. One more week and I would have completed my goal, but I procrastinated and not only gave up on the project, but in myself. I believe the problem lies in my ability to stay positive and engaged for a difficult problem throughout a long period of time and how I decide to manage it. If I want to have the satisfaction of fulfilling something in my life, I have to be able to believe that I can do so, and that I have it in me to endure and persist. If I have this optimistic outlook on the opportunities and chances ahead of me, the belief I have in myself will intensify and I’ll complete more challenges and goals. To improve this ability, I intend on continuing this goal in the future and accomplishing it, and hopefully it will be the last time. This project opened my eyes to just how much of myself needs improvement, and with this experience in mind I hope to set a path for myself to build myself up to be the best I can…

I always find that there is too much to do and not enough time to do it. Because time is so limited, learning how to manage time is crucial. The most basic way to start is by getting in the habit of making "To-Do" lists on a daily basis. This is a simple way to organize my plans for each day when I have multiple tasks to do. Of course keeping this habit would not be easy for me, because as it becomes part of my regular environment, most likely, I would simply forget to notice my list. A good way to remember my "To-Do" lists is to place it where it would easily be seen and grab my attention, like taping it to my car radio or keeping it in my wallet. I will also have to prioritize daily tasks in a way where I can use my biggest margin of time to do my most important tasks because taskes that are less critical do not requires as much energy or thought. This will allow me to insure that more important task get done. Using effective time management practices will help me to ensure quality use of my time as well as learning…

The next time I had a journal in which I had to do research, analyze and provide evidence, was when we wrote about our article for Project 3. In this journal I talked about Nicholas Kristof's article, "5 Reasons to Vote Trump". I believe this journals shows my growth in regards to research because the things that the above journal lacks, are included in this one. In this journal I included evidence and a detailed analysis. I also made sure to cite my evidence the best I could, which I failed to do in the above journal. Although there is room for improvement I feel as if I have a better understanding about research…
