The Romantic Period (1785-1832)
Online Period Introduction Overview and Period Introduction Quizzes
I am assigning the online period introduction overviews and online quizzes for both the 8th and 9th editions of The Norton Anthology of English Literature (NAEL) because each provides some information that the other does not. As you will see in the reading list below, I have also assigned the introduction to this literary period in your textbook and provided the page numbers for the 9th edition. If you have another edition of the text, you will need to locate the pages numbers in the table of contents. Although the publisher of your textbook makes some changes in its web support site when a new edition of a text comes out, it rarely ever makes any changes in the introductions to the literary periods.

Online Period Introduction Overview for the Romantic Period, NAEL, 9th editionPeriod Introduction Quiz for the Romantic Period, 9th edition (All 15 questions)
Do not complete this quiz until you have read both the textbook introduction to The Romantic Period (1785-1832) on the reading list below and the Online Period Introduction Overview for the Romantic Period, NAEL, 9th edition. You should fill in your email address at the end of the quiz to send the quiz results to yourself, but you do NOT need to email your quiz results to me since these quizzes are not required and do not count on your grade. Completing the online quizzes is, however, an excellent way to review for your tests. I use some of the questions in the online quizzes as a source for questions on Test 1 and Test 2. The system will automatically check your quiz and send you an email that shows which questions you missed and what the correct answers are. You may complete each quiz as many times as you wish.
Please follow the directions above when you complete all the other online quizzes.
