PRE‐DEFINED PROGRAMMING CONTEST
This event challenges your skill of handling various tools, checks the diversity and depth of your knowledge and gives you opportunity to explore the hidden talent in you.
There are following rules:
Teams can have maximum of 3 members and 1 should be necessarily of ECE/EE branch. If in a team, there is any 3rd year student; elimination will be based on 3rd year evaluation. There are 6 sections section A, B, C, D, E & F.
Section A is compulsory for all the teams, while section B, C, D & E are compulsory only for 3rd year teams.
Pure 1st and 2nd year teams have an option to select Section F in place of section B, C,
D & E. 3rd year teams don’t have to do section F.
Description of Sections
Section A – (75 marks) ‘C’ language problems.
Section B – (30 marks) MATLAB (Both the problems are compulsory)
Section C – (15 marks) Pspice
Section D – (15 marks) Assembly programming of 8085
Section E – (15 marks) Verilog or VHDL any of them can be used. Simulator ’XILINX ISE‘ should be used.
Section F – (75 marks) ‘C’ language problems. (For 1st and 2nd years only)



Note that you have to write proper comment lines for ’C’, MATLAB, 8085 and Verilog
Problems.
You have to submit separate algorithms of solutions in HARD and SOFT COPY format both. Last date for submission of the problems is 12th September 2009.
All the problems should be submitted together in a CD or DVD, including Team Members name branch, year, registration number, contact number, mail-id and room number.
Copying is strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification from Avishkar 2009.

Registration is mandatory. For registration please mail your team details to Nalin’s
(nalinmnnit@gmail.com)email id before 4th September.You are also needed to register on
Avishkar 2009 site.
