Executive Summary

Nestle is founded in 1866 by Henri Nestle. Its purpose is to make alternative source of nutrition for mothers who cannot give breast feed to her their children. Nestle has become a great company which is specialize in healthy foods.

Social network is a media for communication between some people or some organization which have mutual benefits. One of the methods is customer relation marketing. It is a marketing strategy to research about customers’ needs by meeting and building good relationship with them. Nestle has realized about the importance of social network in social and technology sector by establishing some events for its customers, creating official website and launching interesting advertising videos. Social media can connect people internationally by sharing and discussing about specific knowledge because they can access a lot of information by using internet.

Nestle can build relationship with its customers more effective by using popular social media such as Facebook, Twitter and QQ because almost all people around the world use social media to communicate and express themselves. Nestle can create a close relationship with its customer by publishing recent news, products and events in the social media. Everyone can give feedbacks including critiques, compliments and advices in these social network applications so the company can solve its problems and fix its mistakes to become a better company

The Necessity of Social Network for Nestle

1. Introduction

Nestle is founded in 1866 by Henri Nestle. He began to experiment various combinations of cow’s milk, wheat flour and sugar to create an alternative source of infant nutrition for mothers who were unable to breast feed their children. His main purpose was to solve the problem of infant mortality caused by malnutrition. After he was success to make new products, he started to develop the brand and trademark of Nestle. Now, Nestle has become a well known brand of healthy foods such as instant milk, coffee and baby’s foods. (Nestle, 2012)

Network is the media of friendship, communication, consultation or support which exist between all members in the social system (Valente, 1995). Social Network is a method of representing relationship between people or group of people with mutual interest in the professional and affective life (Barquín, 2009). We can say that social network is the connection between two or more people in the social system with mutual interests among them so social network is all relationships of one person or company with other people or organizations which can benefit each other.
