I. Vision

To be the market leader in providing affordable meal that would satisfy the Filipino appetite, serving classic snack with a variety of high class menu to choose from.

II. Mission

To develop and offer easy to prepare foods that is appealing to the Filipino palate.
Primarily, we want to promote clean and properly handled food choices for our customers. Our focus will be concentrated on three major areas:
a. We will serve fresh quality food for a competitive price.
b. Employee welfare will be equally important to our success. The employees will be part of the growth of Nanay Tess’s.
c. We will practice corporate social responsibility through patronizing local products, proper waste management and value-priced strategy for the benefit of its customers.

III. Company Overview

A. Legal Business Description

Nanay Tess will be established under a sole proprietorship Rommel Rosales as registered owner. All business transactions will be carried out at the store premises in Cefel’s.

B. Brief Description

The store will focus on classic Filipino “merienda” that working class Filipinos enjoyed plus an experience of upgraded customer service and an ambiance of cleanliness and safety. The store will also offer different variety of foods that would excite the taste of its patrons.

C. Market Overview

As the Philippine economy improves continuously more and more people dine out, a cleaner and safer place to enjoy food a variation in cuisine can be a strong attraction. Nanay Tess will be one of the few who offers great dining experience in the developing area around Cefel’s Park, Caloocan. There is an existing supermarket and a public market across the street and another supermarket that is being constructed nearby making the area a center that would attract people of the area and nearby area to come. With commitment to food safety, service and product, Nanay Tess can become one of the "hot spots" in the area, and a "must go to" restaurant for visitors and residents. D. Strategy Overview:

Nanay Tess will focus on cleanliness, food safety, and excellent customer service. The store will share a common dinning area with its co-stall tenants. It will use colors that would attract customers and make the store stand out among it’s co-tenants. It is intended to expand in several location, rather than expanding in one location.

E. Management Team

Initially, the management team will be composed of one (1) General Manager, and three (3) members, who will all be monitoring the specific business activities assigned to them.

As General Manager, Johann Rosales, will be the overall in-charge of all the business activity where in planning and monitoring the activities on each managers area is the primary concern aside from being in-charge of the maintenance of the store equipments.

Fraym Flores-Rosales, will be in charge of the operations, as well as accounting function, Rommel Rosales will be in-charge in procurement of the raw ingredients and supplies, and Advertising and Marketing, Teresita Young-Rosales, on the other hand, will be performing Product Development, and Food safety. F. Personnel Plan

The Nanay Tess will be manned by three employees who will be working for a minimum 9 working hours a day and shall be supervised by at least one supervisor. For the first six (6) months of operation, Fraym and Teresita will be the supervisor then an circumstances shall be evaluated.

V. Marketing Strategy

4.1 Promotions. NT will utilize special promotions to advertise the grand opening, special events, and seasonal finales. These promotions will be targeted to residents and employees around the area. The promotions will concentrate on the age group between 20 and 45, the “bunch for lunch” crowd, and businesses entertaining out of town guests.

a. Opening Promotion.
Lugaw – Free Tokwa.
Silog / Pares – Free egg or rice (double egg or rice)

b. Special Promotions
Introductory Pricing.
Group meal packages.
Meal of the month.

c. Seasonal promotions. A Nanay Tess special menu changes based on seasonal foods.
Summer – Halo2, Banana con Yelo.
Rainy – Noodles (wanton, beef, chicken, and pork), Hot/Cold drinks rich in Vitamin C (Honey Lemonade, Lemonade tea, etc.)
Christmas – Puto bumbong, Bibingaka, Halayang Ube, Leche plan, etc.

4.2 Advertising. Advertising will be concentrated on print advertising (flyers with coupons in). The advertising message will be "you can enjoy great foods handled with care just in our place!" It will be important to differentiate "Nanay Tess" from other nearby carinderia. Cleanliness will create the differentiation. Maintenance of cleanliness becomes important.

4.3 The description of the marketing mix for this venture includes:

a. Product - a complete Lugaw and Silog menu as the main dishes. The hours of operation will be 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. carbonated beverages will be offered in a combo meal.

b. Place – Predominantly Northeast quadrant of Anytown, with some patrons for the remainder of our County.

c. Price – Breakfast through lunch to be competitive - $9.55 Dinner - $18.55

d. Promotion - Advertisement in media (print, radio) as required based on target market research. Promotion will concentrate on target customer needs and wants.
